(EVO)CTI Release  Full Release of EVO CTI

Hi. I DLed this last night and wanted to link it to the rest of the guys I play with but I can't see the link any longer? Apologies if I'm just missing it somewhere? Great Mission though, really has a great sense of immersion!

    Chammys Sound Mod

I'd echo those sentiments. Any frivolous comments are certainly not designed to be negative toward Chammy or his Mod!

    Chammys Sound Mod

I rather like the concept of "Jingles". Perhaps we can have a seasonal variation of the sound Mod with sleigh-bells since Christmas is round the corner. It wouldn't be very stealthy though?

    Chammys Sound Mod

CALM, I don't want calm, I want Chammys wonderfully sampled and delightfully composed battle sounds. A positive aural feast of a MOD that defies the platitudes and plaudits that await its cacophonic arrival. Ooh, I'm sorry, I'm just getting too excited!

Are we there yet?......... Are we there yet?......... Are we there yet?......... OMG I can barely contain myself with the anticipation! Sry Chammy, hope its all going tickety-boo old bean!

    Evolution (Red+Blue)

Great stuff Killjoy. Personally I love the Red version better than the Blue. As for the respawning I think it's spot on. The map was getting a bit too easy to clear and you'd often find servers that were so far advanced it wasn't worth joining in. Now we've got a real challenge on our hands, Triffic. If anyone's is having problems, then reduce the difficulty of the AI on your server till you get the hang of it. Simple.

    Evolution V3.0

Hi there Killjoy. Just want to take the opportunity Thank you for all your hard work on the Evo missions. Its the one I and my clan members play more than any other, Brilliant work. I've looked through most of the thread but wanted some more info on the Red Evo. I've played a version that starts with a Russian base in the airstrip at Pita and works southwest to the main US airstrip NW of Paraiso. Is this the beta version of which you speak or another scandalous re-modding of your original. It's just that the map plays really well that way and gives a whole different perspective to the mission. TBH I actually prefer the Red mission myself. I know you busy but any chance of a quick summary of the new features we can expect? Keep up the good work, and have BIS offered you large sums of cash yet for producing the quintessential ARMA mission. If not, why not?

Evolution and the fate of multiplayer

Hiya I've just come from an Evo Server that was Cheat Hacked in exactly the way you describe in your Berserk Map. Sadly I've seen it happen almost every day for the last couple of months or so on one server or another. More recently, on a bad night, it's hardly worth playing as they just jump from server to server screwing things up. . I can play on a closed server with some mates but I like being able to dip into other established open servers to join in with others. Personally I'm still enjoying the EVO map and its derivatives, but its horses for courses. No one forces anyone to play it and its popularity speaks for itself. I'm really glad that there are people out there putting in the effort, creating missions. Fair play to 'em! I hope that BIS sort out the hacking with ARMA II by either making it more robust or giving admin tools to catch and ban the little sh1ts!

    ATI Hotfix won't.....Er.......Fix

Yup, DL'ed it, ran it.... failed I just get an ATI Dialogue box with "Unfortunately this software cannot be installed on you system. please contact your notebook manufacturer for driver updates! Fujitsu have none..... Unfortunately. I am running a Fujitsu Amilo laptop with a Mobility Radeon X1800 which has run ARMA sweetly for ages up until the last 2 months. Then I started getting graphic artifacts and a finally a BSOD. Now it BSOD after 20 minutes or so? Everything else runs ok? Thanks for the BTW

    ATI Hotfix won't.....Er.......Fix

Thanks, I don't suppose you'd have a link as the ATI site doesn't seem to have 7.6 anymore?
  12. Hello All I've been having problems with the old leaky handles and have tried the ATI hotfix but is states that it won't work on Fujitsu PC's and I'm to contact them. Unfortunately they don't have a solution, and frankly, don't care (Bleedin' multi-nationals ) Anyhoo, I'm not sure what to do so I though it would be best to feedback into the ARMA collective for; 1. Info at least. 2. A possible solution! ps. I've just installed all new memory too and the problems the same! Yours Spiggsy (AKA Gutted he can't play ARMA dag-nabbit! )

ARMA on a high end laptop ?

Hiya I'm playing ArmA on a Fujitsu Amilo, 2ghz Centrino duo with 1g RAM and a ATI mobility Radeon X1800 graphics card. Seems to run sweet as a nut on medium graphics settings but does get jerky when I whack them all up to maximum. Otherwise i've found it perfectly playable with a view distance of 3km+ in multiplayer. Hope that's of some help

I posted this on the ArmAholics site, but I feel it's worth repeating here. This mission really is a classy bit of work! From the atmospheric intro to the Doors "Riders in the storm" through the initial capture and destruction of the machine gun nests to the demolition of the beach front Artillery. This is a very well balanced and carefully constructed mission which both I and my other clan members enjoyed immensely. A wonderful choice of weather too with an early morning rainstorm complete with rainbow, really sets the scene. Great sky's blushing pink against the sand really enhance the feeling of catching the enemy napping as you progress through the various mission objectives which are evenly spaced and well way pointed. One of the guys I was with commented that it was the best mission he’d played so far, and I’d be inclined to agree. If I’m being picky I’d say the balance could be improved with less troops under you command, dropping from 12 to 10. But I’m being really picky there. Congrats to Shark Attack, more of the same please!
