Oh great Ti0n3r thanks for the mission..Im now heading to store to pick my copy of Arma. By the way..Do all special forces soldiers now look like these delta guys? They certainly did not look like that when I tested my friends copy of the game.

Sorry for my stupid questions but these things are very important for me.

Hehe I understand you, I'm just the same wink_o.gif

Yes, BIS changed the US SF model in one of the latest patched. But only the SF Assault & SF Recon units wear those goggles though. Cheers.

Just BTW; that picture, more than any other, highlights

painfully sharply how bad the "crouch-walk" animation is.

Ouch! crazy_o.gif

It always reminds me of this:

You take a picture to tell how bad an animation is? Well that is somehow spectacular. Would you pls show me a more proper one in a game then? But please pal, no stills. I'd like to compare them in motion.

The only thing i would moan of, and that of course is ridiculous already, is the fact that they dont stick theirs knees together when crouching, to hold legs steady. But your analogy to the Superstore Cossack, who is definitely funny, is pure cynicism and without any value. Besides, afaik they had mil instructors from the czech army or whatever so maybe their training is just a little different to yours, my colonel. wink_o.gif

They're from an expansion coming out called, "Queen's Gambit."

Wrong. They're the default SF units as of the 1.07 BETA patch and onwards. Nothing to do with the 'Queens Gambit' expansion.

Well "pal", if you think that that stupid crouching-walk anim

is even remotely realistic (or even physically possible) then

you need an anatomy lesson. biggrin_o.gif

And it's not "cynicism", it's called "wit" - look it up.

Sorry for the derail

At least the cossack dancing 8 year old had his legs beneath his centre of mass. To fix that, BIS has to put the torso leaning forward and the feet back slightly. As far as I know, it shouldn't be that difficult to get it looking decent. I have actually animated before, if anyone is wondering, but not for OFP or ArmA. I'd like the torsos of the soldiers to be rotated a bit to get their weapons under their eyes a little bit more, too. Viewed from the front, it sort of looks like they're waving the weapons around in front of them as more of a steering aparatus than a precision shooting instrument.
