and I can't believe that anyone thinks this is a good idea.

That is absolute garbage. These drivers work better for me than what I get from the Nvidia site.

Those drivers work fine for me too. Guru3d is a reputable site and the 162 drivers have worked really well for me.

Reputable how? Is this an Nvidia approved site for testing betas? If it is, then I'm OK with using drivers located there. If not, then using their drivers is just not a good idea from a security standpoint.

All their drivers are virus scanned, and if you are unsure then you can read other peoples comments in their forums and join in the discussion if you want. It's a very popular site, and a very good place to get drivers.

Who cares if it's an Nvidia approved site, Nvidia sometimes post utter crap as their latest official drivers on their site tounge2.gif

For example, the 94.24 drivers caused freezing and CTD problems for me in ArmA, and the latest unofficial drivers from Guru3D performed much better without problems. I posted about that in another thread.

8800 users have also posted about getting much better drivers there.

It's not just a site about drivers though, have a look for yourself. They also host Rivatuner, a very useful piece of software.

Edit: Was 94.24, not 92.24. Corrected now.

Guru3d has been around forever. They are reliable. I've been downloading my drivers from guru for years.
