super64 0 Posted June 19, 2007 Hey guys just wanted to spread the word. Every Monday night at 00:00 hrs GMT (6PM Central) we are hosting a Berzerk public battle night over on the ArmA Interactive battle server! (IP: 64.34.162.232:2302) Last night we had a great turn out. The server was the #2 server on the most active list. Tons of players dropping in. I encourage players to jump into our "Monday Night Berzerk" TS Channel when they come to the server (TS= 72.37.204.124:8799, PW: ArmA). Because unlike a normal Berzerk server which is crazy, we like to play organized and somewhat tactical. So communication is a priority! Get more info at www.armainteractive.com So jump on the server each Monday! I promise you'll have a great time! I know its a bit late for the Euro guys. We put it on a Monday night to help bring out the North American players and get the people new to ArmA involved in the community. Teaching people the right way to play! During play, admins are always present!
super64 0 Posted June 19, 2007 Berzerk Maps are team based rounds. You fight over zones in a specific city. We choose the size of the city to fight over based on how many people are on the server. This helps to keep the action going. Rounds average 30 to 45 minutes and you'll do much more fighting than standing around.
.COMmunist 0 Posted June 19, 2007 Infantry fights mostly?
super64 0 Posted June 19, 2007 Mostly. There are some heli's that can spawn in once your side reaches a certain amount of points. Don't worry though, there's a good balance so air power doesn't take over. Its a lot of fun.
zaphod 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Hi there , I'm still working on the v1.24 map pack update. It is not a simple update/bugfix, i am reworking all scripts for better performance and to increase player count. I try to implement a simple way to create/join/leave a squad inside berzerk maps like its done in evo. changelog so far: -synchronized main client/server loops -constant timing on server loop -reworked globals/defaults/config vars -extremly reduced amount of publicvars -extremly reduced amount of triggers -player-scoring for capture of a target (TargetScore x 5) -stored user list containing time, id, name, rank, connections; Q: should vehicles be locked for enemy players??? regards, it will be up in a few days ... over 50% done. zap (ber[z]erk lab.) super64 0 Posted June 21, 2007 Great work on that map pack. Lots of fun! In answer to your question, so far we have not had an issue with enemy stealing vehicles. So id say no to locking them. Zap, you should stop in one Monday night as a special guest to the event!
