john_mcclane 0 Posted June 3, 2007 Any chance of seeing a RAR version of the patch instead, or as an alternative to ZIP? I realize I'm not amongst the majority, but I'm still stuck with dial-up, and RAR files can be quite a bit more compact. In the case of a 300MB patch, possibly as much as 40 - 50MB smaller, which is very substantial with such a slow connection. Thanks for reading this.
Maddmatt 1 Posted June 3, 2007 Or even better, a self extracting 7-zip archive. It's even better compression than *.rar. Guru3d.com use it for their downloads and it works great.

Marines 0 Posted June 3, 2007 i vote for 7-zip too as OSS and better compression ... 7-Zip is a far better compression utility than most of the others. I also would like to see said utility used.
