Op4 BuhBye 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Can you set a camera view and make it black and white instead of color?
Balschoiw 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Maybe using a screensize ressource with alpha channel and the appropriate color will give you some filter-effect. I don´t know any other way to alter the color output via scripting.
scars09 9 Posted May 27, 2007 damn nice idea Balschoiw what you think the paa has to look like? grey, half transparent as alpha? also a nice idea for a cutscene when someone should take a look threw a keyhole or something.
wika_woo 182 Posted May 27, 2007 Or you could just record it in colour, then make it b & w in vegas or any other video editing software
Balschoiw 0 Posted May 27, 2007 Quote[/b] ]what you think the paa has to look like?grey, half transparent as alpha? Test it in photoshop. Make a screenshot in Arma use it in PS and add a layer with alpha and play with the colors. I´m pretty sure you will not be able to get a sharp contrast black-white this way but sepia style should be possible. Quote[/b] ]also a nice idea for a cutscene when someone should take a look threw a keyhole or something. Yes, or security monitors, cam overlays, griddings, etc I haven´t checked yet but some of the ressources that came with OFP had half transparent layers, like the TV set for example. As they are packed to .paa you will have a hard time ripping them apart to see how they did it, but it shouldn´t be that hard. I guess Kegetys has released a plugin for PS to export .paa if I´m not totally mistaken... Yep, the plugin is here: Kegetys Arma section Let´s you export .paa directly from PS Haven´t tested if it supports alpha but I guess so. Now if BIS only managed to embedd animated ressources, media files and a render to texture option...
Op4 BuhBye 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Well the reason I ask is I had the idea of Making a camera script and giving the option to enter and leave it for a UAV flying recon overhead and I wanted to know if you could do this to make it look like thermal imaging. Balschoiw I read what you said and it was all chinese to me dude.
Junker 0 Posted May 28, 2007 you can make it look old with a few RCS piccies looping with static and scratches on them
Op4 BuhBye 0 Posted May 28, 2007 Thermal imaging doesn't really look old. Its just black and white with the heat sorces white and everything else shades of black and gray. I guess ArmAs not ready for this yet. Thanx for the replys guyz. Can you apply the Green NV to a camera script?
moricky 211 Posted May 28, 2007 If is it in night, just use setaperture 0.07 scripting command. It was used in intro of Blood, Sweat and Tears mission.
