Whats with all the online missions

Frankly to me most of the sp missions and the sp campaign made by bis suck. And I can make some basic missions and basic triggers but I want  good complicated long missions made by some of our ofp/arma veterans. I know there are some good sp missions here and there but if we focused on sp as much as we did mp I would be swimming in deep storytelling campaigns/missions

Well a lot of MP Coops can be played 'offline' they may lack completely AI controlled squads but you can still control a squad of AI in an offline coop game.

Problem is a lot of people like to play multiplayer, so thats the main focus for a lot of mission editors... Also Singleplayer missions *CAN* be more complex as you *MUST* have AI and so you need to set waypoints and make them suit the mission you have created. MP maps usually rely less on AI and more on the human thinking about and doing the objectives.

But hey, patience is a virtue, good maps will come smile_o.gif Have you tried Dynamic War? Its a bit buggy at the mo but its really good fun and doesnt end biggrin_o.gif

Just wait, time will tell, my SNIPER missions are coming to SP with a hole new story line and the ability to be the spottor or sniper and abilty to switch quickly :d..

Im speding a lot of time making Sniper: Long Days Part 1 as well using lots of new resources.

I will be producing a small trailer of whats to come soon as well. biggrin_o.gif

I would love it if people made more SP missions that use Vilas addons to their full potential, and also if someone could convert existing missions to use those addons.

Ive got 4 SP missions uploaded if anyone ealse wants to try them (No addons required):

I plan to make a campaign out of them eventually and I will keep releasing missions and divide the campaign into mini campaigns of ten missions once I have enough missions released. The missions themselves will have some small fixes added in regards to ai etc when re-released in the campaign but they work fine without any major faults being reported.

The missions are 1 insurgent and 3 SLA infantry missions. The storyline is as follows and missions are and should be played in the following order:

- The Cause

You watch as your family is massacred by a disgruntled US patrol. 2 hours later you wait with your friend who has also lost some family for the arrival of his uncle Dimitri to pick you up and supply you with some weapons. Together you meet up with your friends cousin Ivan and his batch of ex military friends to exact revenge on the US patrol.

-The Cause - First Patrol

You join the SLA and go on your first patrol near Mercalillo. You are attached to the 5 Motorized Rifle Division in the 31st Infantry Battalion D company.

-The Cause - Battle of the Hedge

You are ordered to join the frontlines in anticipation of combined US and RACS assault. Its a Normandy hedgerow style inspired mission.

-The Cause - Operation Pickpocket

Obregan has been abandoned after heavy U.S. bombings. With RACS forces spread thin the SLA prepares to cut off the road linking Obregan to Carazol.

All missions have:

-Voice Acting

-My own made music :P

-Storyline and advances in plot (its still early days in the campaign missions)

-Intro

-Outro or ending cam script

Vilas addons

I'd love it if he would concentrate more on quality than quantity. Nut...then again.. he's trying..

and some tools from the developers for the peanut gallery would help............... notworthy.gif
