Thanks.

I thought i had it running in sli already lol?

maybe not though...

Oh there are some new drivers kicking about

Windows XP 160.03

Vista 32bit 160.03

Vista 64bit 160.03 << i'm getting these atm.

People have had better results in vista anyway with other software, maybe people could try em out and let us all know in this thread any difference with Arma with and without SLI enabled?

I'll post my results when i get a chance to try em out smile_o.gif

OK I tested with 160.03.

SLI OFF : 30 FPS

SLI ON : 15 FPS

What version of ARMA do you have and what kind of graphic board ?

I have 1.05.5543 beta and 2 8800 GTX, 2 GB RAM and WIN XP.

I have 2x 8800 gts, 2gb ram and vista 64 bit.

I've not used SLI much at all tbh as i've found it to be very unstable with everything. I hate having my gfx card sitting there doing nothing though sad_o.gif

Edit - oh and i'm using same version of arma as u smile_o.gif

I'm still using 158 drivers...and I have to turn sli off to play ArmA, yet..OFP has no issues with it on.

No one tried 1.06 and 8800 SLI to see if things are getting better ?

SLI is a hilarious gimmick and one that I myself have been duped into buying. I have no less than 3 8800 GTXs (one in each machine, although I did have SLI in my main box until I realised what a joke it was). There are so many problems with SLI, I dont even know where to start. My advice, sell the 2nd one while its still worth something. Nvidia is having enough trouble just getting stable drivers out for single cards at the moment so I wouldn't expect miracles anytime soon.

SLI don't give arma any performance whatsoever, it's more the other way araound.

Single Gpu - +25 fps

Double Gpus - 10-15, Way to goo banghead.gif

We'll se if it's up to date with 1.08, 1.09

by the way, read the review on Arma @ IGN.com, the grades are starting to fall, from a 10/10 to a 7.3, mostley cause of the engine/ graphics and hardware instability.

Well OFP had that problem initially when it came out, but once Bis got the patches together things were much better

Just because somebody might like this info, and because some profiles might be set for quality, and not performance.

To create an SLI profile

Hope this helps someone..

Try renaming your .exe to "fear.exe". My understanding is that this fix was devised for SLI, but it works for the ATI Crossfire as well. I have an ATI Crossfire rig, and it worked like a charm. Apparently, the game FEAR is a profile that works with Crossfire. My framerates went from ~22-30 to 40-60+.

Seems ur capslock was stuck.

Which 1.07 are you testing? The 5157 Release?

Have you created an SLI Profile? If Not, try creating one first. (Google: Nhancer)

1.08 Final should be here soon, who knows if those help you, though I bet you aughta look around for SLI Profile.

Edit: Nvm, I see others already replied with same info, blind! whistle.gif
