i played AA demo and the game doesn't stutter much considering my video card isn't great. The demo was multiplayer. most games i have that are multiplayer, it states that the game will perform differently. i'm assuming because of more people playing. is the single player in AA smoother than playing online with a dozen or more people. And is there a single player demo to try out.

We don't have a SP demo, and I'd imagine that SP depends on the size of the level.

Hosting the MP mission (so the AI runs locally) is as close to running SP as you can get at the moment. With the US release 3 weeks away you might see an updated demo with SP pop up somewhere, but no one's mentioned anything so don't count on it.

SP demo came out ages ago but was only with UK game magazines, nobody bothered to put it online

think they should bring a new demo out, to show where ArmA is now. I've talked a bunch on ppl(mainly in my Americas army clan) and they tought arma was boring and buggy, after playing the demo.

well, unfortunately i couldn't agree more with them.  

for an infantry based squad arma is definitely not too much fun, i can tell ya. toys all over the place. a game that is still not finished yet. missing squad features. no admin tools to deal with the millions of teamkillers. loads of bugs. no released modding tools. only a handful of good mp maps. a community that focusses on coops instead of real mp. clumsy movements from disabled soldiers.

yeah the coop focus does annoy me a bit. I mean, maybe 5 years ago, but now ? online games that arnt pvp are just, well, rubbish to be honest.

There are servers playing CTF, CTI and Bezerk for those that don't like coop. Maybe the coop focus is too much, but the servers do allow people to vote for what they want and they get what they choose.

If you really enjoy PvP, you should join a clan to get the most enjoyment out of it.

We have a public server running for you guys to play whatever you want! (ctf,cti,dm,co-ops) etc

+Private servers for our clans co-op needs! etc
