jtec 0 Posted March 29, 2007 Armed assault is so much better! www.play should have ofp, but i recommend armed assault if your computer isnt too low spec
Jimboob 0 Posted March 29, 2007 Email codemasters about it with proof you bought it, take pictures of the box, manual etc or even a receipt if you still have it, and they send you one. They did that for me when I lost my CD Key.
Time2Die 0 Posted March 30, 2007 Armed assault is so much better! www.play should have ofp, but i recommend armed assault if your computer isnt too low spec I'm running a GeForce 7300 graphics card. Is that good enough?
Infam0us 10 Posted March 30, 2007 Seems that high spec systems struggle to run ArmA, yet low ones can run it better ... and likewise the opposite is also true so its a mixed bag! Nevertheless go and give it a try £20 from Play UK!
Metal Heart 0 Posted March 30, 2007 Try the ArmA demo to see if it runs. In my opinnion OFP with mods, custom missions etc is a much better game for the time being. GOTY/Bestsellers edition has OFP+Red Hammer campaign+Resistance expansion. http://www.armedassault.com/dwnl_demo.html
echo1 0 Posted March 30, 2007 Youre kinda buying into the past with OFP. May be the best of now but modding for it is slowly dying out. Im sure that they'll release the ArmA modding tools soon, right?

-CS-SOBR-1st-I-R- 0 Posted March 31, 2007 Stick to OFP ... that is my advice Ive delted shitty ArmA off my harddisc. Why dont you have a look in ebay ? I could get the GOTY edition here for 15 € .... search some local stores, they might have a copy or two.
Maddmatt 1 Posted April 8, 2007 SOBR[1st-I-R] @ Mar. 31 2007,15:24)]Stick to OFP ... that is my advice Ive delted shitty ArmA off my harddisc. Why dont you have a look in ebay ? What? Buy ArmA, OFP is too old to bother with now. ArmA is a bit buggy, but it's not bad and it's a much better game than OFP. Not sure if it will run well on a Geforce 7300 so try the demo first. It should be okay. ArmA is a big improvement over OFP(though a few like the guy I quoted seem to disagree). The modding side also has plenty of potential, we just need the tools to be released. OFP was a great game, but ArmA has replaced it. Personally I will never play OFP again and never want to.
Mr_Tea 0 Posted April 8, 2007 I reinstalled OFP yesterday, but only for the use of the Falklands mod. Arma is good, and will be much better ones the modding tools are out. The bugs will get fixed, amen.
