Triggertimeman 0 Posted March 20, 2007 I just played a mission where I flew a chopper into combat, but I got shot down in the process. Now I was expecting an update in the mission or a radio option to call for help, but nothing, I had to continue the mission on foot Is anyone else supprised at the fact that if you get shot down in a mission(which is something very possible) that you get no support at all? I think it would be cool if you could get a chopper to pick you up or something.

You got shot down in a hotzone. Don´t expect to be extracted there instantly. Quote[/b] ]I think it would be cool if you could get a chopper to pick you up or something. Something that can be done in editor, while the second chopper most likely would face the same AA units as you did. So...
william1 0 Posted March 20, 2007 lol, at least be thankful that if you are shot down in the water , now the ships can get you onboard , in OFP you had to go swimming home
SeppSchrot 0 Posted March 20, 2007 Hello, I do not consider this an 'general ArmA'-Issue. If a mission creater wants support vehicles available to call in, he can do. He decides how good the logistic situation in this particular mission is. The engine can't know. Mission makers know best. And during a multiplayer mission like CTI, it's part of the game that teammates help each other.
SeppSchrot 0 Posted March 20, 2007 in OFP you had to go swimming home  No, you had to die.
Tracer 0 Posted March 20, 2007 in OFP you had to go swimming home  No, you had to die. Very true, you couldn't swim in OFP
paragraphic l 2 Posted March 20, 2007 some of us played FFUR and got used to the latest OFP releases which allowed you to swim in OFP And there where even scripts that allowed you to board boads... so I think william was a bit confused with what was and what wasn't doable in OFP :P
