fasad 1 Posted March 16, 2007 You do not get tired by walking, but can be tired by crouch-walking. Look at your character in 3rd person view.
dwringer 45 Posted March 16, 2007 If i'm not mistaken, actually running DOES fatigue your character. Last night I was playing Beaten Dog to stress test my video card, and my friend who was watching said, at the part where the truck brings you and some men back to the second position, run the other way! (Since I'd been getting myself shot) I ran (double tapped the forward key) for about 600m, then stopped. Something weird - my gun was pointed down, and I couldn't get it to aim right. I hit the PRONE key, and my soldier did what I can only describe as a flop onto the ground. It seemed that he was on the verge of complete exhaustion. On the other hand, the weapon thing, at least, might have been a bug ;p
xnodunitx 0 Posted March 16, 2007 No, when you run with the double tap then yes, your character will become tired, breath heavy, be unable to aim correctly and the gun willl always stay pointed at the ground when moving unless you are holding shift and wihle moving. max power 21 Posted March 16, 2007 BIS said that they were assigning different movement rates and styles with fatigue rates in order to taylor the amount of use they get. This way you *can* crouch-walk for half an hour but it wouldn't be the best choice, and therefore you're not likely to do it or see it being done. This makes crouch walking and sprinting special cases where you have to decide how to use them most economically.
