XD OFP / ArmA Government I started on some patterns for the gaming side of this.

Yes i have done some improvements to vilas sa80,but only on the plastic parts as the metal parts look pretty good but trying to find the stuff on the SUSAT scope but cant find it any where, as it still need a red dot ,but will keep on looking for it & only have found la85 skin & will give an up date on that soon.

But has to be an ingame shot as i dont think vilas would appreciate me showing of the actual paa file of the la85 but yes no problems with a close up shot of it ingame.

"Yea lol bootleg" it would be nice, but live in england & would have the armed police on my door step in about 10 mins lol.

Plus also the marksman will use that one shown ,but the sniper im going to give him the MK12 SPR untill some british sniper weapons are released & i get the permission to use them, like the international.

Plus the landies will have british drivers as well, included in this addon.

heya, your units are looking great! a few minor tweaks and they'll be perfect until the proper modding tools come out

just a few notes that im not sure if your aware of, the sa80 model has some errors, specifically around the foregrip and the gas block, as well as it is a model of an SA80A1, not the A2s we (brits) use nowadays

other than that, great work!

yeah true but have no choice at the moment unless some one else out their as another model that i can use,as vilas is the only guy out their at this time who is prepared to let me use any of their weapons, so if any one as a bright idea untill the new tools are released i would be thankful lol.

hiya, just for personal use and learning i imported the Project UKF teams sa80's into ArmA (almost the whole ukf weapon pack actually), if permissions were granted by the repsective individuals i would be more than happy to help out there as I use them on your units at the moment.

also just for personal use i retextured most of the US unit models using your textures (so i had units with proper helmets and other pouches etc etc), i used your textures as a base to make the rest that were needed, both desert and woodland have been done if you would like the textures just gimme a PM

Looking forward to your new digital units, they're looking sweet    keep up the good work

would love to use their weapons and have just emailed some one from the ukf "masiah " hopefully they will say yes.

Could you show me a pic of their sa80 in game if its possible & ok with the ukf team.

But i will say if the weapons on mine dont get sorted out i cant released them,& it will be a shame as its not just me that has worked on them, me/ the damned from aaz/ vilas/ & also the sff modding crew, i am only trying to give the british community some thing that bis forgot as they have done all the time,& all the way back from the old ofp days which is sad for me & for lots of other british gamers.

but on a higher note could do with the newer version of the sa80 as people keep on telling me lol.

for various reasons I can't go into right now we don't want our OFP stuff ported into ArmA, even for personal use. Whilst I admit its hard to stop anyone doing so, the EULA with the addons do indicate that any modifications (such as those needed to get them ingame for ArmA) require consent.

The reasons go beyond any sort of petty snobbery that we don't want them porting, we feel they're quite poor compared to what we have modeled and planned for our actual ArmA weapons. At any rate, We ported most of the weapons across as is just to see them ingame. I'll put it to the rest of the team, you may see them released, but it depends on time and effort required which could be spent on the nice new shiny ones instead.

just to make a comparison - the SA80 top LOD is only 900 faces, where as the ArmA M4 registers closer to the 2500 mark. Our new one comes into line with the new standards. Although the old ones don't look too bad with the new lighting - the texture work does a lot for them, where the modeling leaves off.

Cheers buddy it would well appreciated & would be a bit of fresh air, as know your work well & have all the addon that you guys have made for the old ofp, & they are well liked.

& if it ends up that we can use them ,you guys will be well mentioned for that.

Also have four Arma servers & one of them will be totally dedicated to the british troops only, & would like our troops to look as good as possible, & cheers & big thanks for any thing you guys might let us use if you give us the goahead & cheers any way.
