Dawdler 0 Posted December 1, 2001 Through a network... Does that network have a firewall? That could be the problem then.
redvex 0 Posted December 1, 2001 Do you access the multiplayer typing the server ip in-game or thru something like Gamespy?
RN Malboeuf 12 Posted December 1, 2001 >>>>>>Through a network... Does that network have a firewall? That could be the problem then no, sorry the game would not even conect if that was the problem 1) don't use Game Spy 2) if you have a Burnt CD or Hack this is what hapens 3) if it's yours and you played it on a LAN and you shared your CD then this will still happen 4) thats what FADE does 5) if you did not then Reinstall your TC/IP 6) use the All seeying eye http://www.udpsoft.com/eye
amos m 0 Posted December 2, 2001 don't listen to rn malboeulf. He's a know it all who is constantly giving out false information. I have played with shared cd and no problems. Also have had contact with cust service and they admit themselves that this would not cause any problems. As for your problem I have similar problems. I know u got access through cable modem, but how fast are u actually connected? What is your actual download rate? Maybe the server you're trying to connect to is the problem. Is there a way for you to verify that the ports required by OFP are open in the firewall? Mister Frag 0 Posted December 25, 2001 You didn't say which firewall you have, but from the description, it could be ZoneAlarm. If it is, there should be an entry under 'Programs' for Operation Flashpoint, with two sets of question marks next to it. Click in the left-most column in each category where there questions marks are, this will allow OFP to participate in MP games.
