mahuja 12 Posted February 7, 2002 56k, pings usually 300-500. I've (just about) only played co-ops, where the lag isn't very noticable. Or at least it's not bothering. I've been in a game of 6.
Rampe 0 Posted February 7, 2002 Well, that pretty much depends on where you play. If your isp has server, the ping is low. I have a DSL and my average ping is 30-50 (as long as I play in a server located in Finland ) I remember when I had still my 56K modem, I was able to get 95 ping at quakeworld. Not bad, eh? :-)
suchey 0 Posted February 7, 2002 I have DSL...my isp also runs some game servers...I usually get about 19 or 20 ping to them....when playing outside of my ISP I usually get 50 or so.

Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted February 8, 2002 Ive got cable and live in denmark. To danish server i get about 30 ms. European servers its about 50-110. (all depends on what the connection the server is on) Us servers is from 100-150 ms. my connection is a 4mbit/1mbit.
driller 0 Posted February 8, 2002 Hehe... I'm also on a 56k from Slovenia, but recently my ISP had some problems with the network and pings dropped to cca. 280ms for most european servers. Usually it varies from 181 to 290ms. That is playable... what is more isn't. OFP is quite generous with playability with high pings, other games (exmp: Medal of honour)if is over 220 you are a fucking lagger... Waiting 4 ADSL...some day... BigQEd 0 Posted February 8, 2002 Dialup users play great on our servers... any game. Reason is because we have low latency connections. The main difference is Map/Mission download times. However... there is little difference between Cable (with 128k down) and a good Dialup connection to be honest.
dazmorg 0 Posted February 8, 2002 I'm with NTL WORLD and I usually play with pings of around 200 even though my connection speed ranges from 36-45bps
