Please help!!!PROBLEM WITH INSTALLING

Ok i downloaded the game off of sprocket and installed it, now when it starts to download it gives me a error saying"

Unable to find setup01.bin.

Please keep setup.exe and all*.bin files at the same directory.

I don't under stand

The answer is pretty easy, setup need the file 'setup01.bin' which is not in the same folder then the 'setup.exe'.

Make sure you all the files you have downloaded from Sprocket in one folder before you start the setup.

I think you can't install because of the missing file?

Sorry guess I can't help you anymore since I'm not using any download version.

I'm sure one of the guys who successfully downloaded from Sprocket can maybe help you. If not email Sprocket support.

Edit: You could use the windows search function for 'arma.exe' or just 'arma'.

how its saying its not a win32 document , can u like not put it in the My documents file

i tried and says the file isnt found

it says : C:\Program Files\ARMA\ArmaENG.exe is not a valid Win32 application. ( i made the ARMA file)

I've also had an unbelievable amount of trouble with the Sprocket version, that's why I'm getting the 505 version to save myself some heartache. But as for your problem, not sure if getting hold of another EXE from perhaps a friend might help the problem? Your EXE might be corrupt?

Maybe you need that bin file in the win32 directory. I don't really understand your problem, please explain more.

When you download sprocket manager or whatever, what comes with the download?

When I downloaded my ArmA I got the ArmaENG.EXE.

Clicked it and then install prompted me for serial and then continues with install.

Make sure you've got the whole ArmaENG.exe file. Maybe redownload it or something to verify. Sounds like your ArmaENG.exe file is corrupt, OR maybe your out of space or have get write access denied somewhere that the installer writes to.

OMG.. I just went through the same crap! I got that same exact error message! Did anyone find out what to do?

Ok, I git it working....just a heads up...your gonan have to disable your virus protection during the download...Risky I know1, but it worked.

Not really sure if it's really 'that risky' to turn off the

anti virus for downloading something from a known

source which in case it brought you a virus onto your

system could be sued downwards the distributor.

If you bought something online and you'd get a virus

instead of what you paid for, you could get them into

troubles (at least they would have to pay your costs

to resolve the issue).

anti virus is not equal to anti hacker or firewall

Someone else posted about this before (cant find the dang post now though) - he posted that the download is in TWO PARTS, and he needed but didnt see where to download both bits from the downloads?

Anybody else give a pointer to where-to-look?

Any new incite on this. Havent heard back from Idea games after two emails. Next step is refund.

Once again missing setup01.bin file on download. Firewall was wide open. Link to download page no longer valid however I did manually download the main exe. at 3.5 Gigs.

well 3.5 would be the total of the .exe and the .bin

Maybe you only get one DL that you need to extract into two files? For me , with Metaboli - MorphiconDE, they had two files to DL at the time of purchase, and they also sent me a email with the DL link, with instructions to DL two files.

when you run this the download ends and you go straight to the screen to enter your key. the key fails and that is it. I searched for the setup01.bin file to no avail. I then did a manual download option and it only downloads the main exe which wont run without the setup file. Ive tried to contact Ideagames twice with no answer back. Im now in dispute with paypal to get my money back. This has got to be the worst purchase setup Ive ever experienced. The best one was downloading Lock-on electronically.

Well looks like Sprocket is not going to take care of me and I have lost $44. That system is the worst download mechanism I have seen to date. Followed up several times to get help with no avail. Went to Paypal to dispute and they wont do it. Maruk I hope you can find a system better than them to distribute. Will be looking for future products in the discount bin.
