shoman24v 0 Posted January 19, 2007 Just wondering if there's a way I can disable the introduction movies for when the game starts?
norsu 180 Posted January 19, 2007 Add line -nosplash to your ArmA shortcut. Like so: C:\Games\ArmA\arma.exe -nosplash
Timblesink 0 Posted January 19, 2007 When I try to do that, it just stops the shortcut from working... There are no "s around the target like the OFP shortcut, and adding something after the target without having the "s makes it just not work. Any ideas? -APS-Numbat 0 Posted January 19, 2007 add a " in front of the target and behind ie. "E:\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\ARMA.EXE" -nosplash If it still is stuffed just click the 'Find Target' win XP button and start again.
CsonkaPityu 0 Posted January 19, 2007 Don't remove the "s just add the line -nosplash behind the shortcuts path and it should be fine.
ade_mcc 0 Posted January 19, 2007 By all means remove the intro screens using the methods above (I do! ) Just remember that due to the way the game is loaded that you will not experiance significantly shorter loading up times. I'll try and get a source for this info but i'm sure it was on this forum... Edit: formating issues
Timblesink 0 Posted January 19, 2007 Don't remove the "s just add the line -nosplash behind the shortcuts path and it should be fine. The problem is there are no "s, and when I add them they get removed when I click "Ok" for some reason.
Killbert 0 Posted January 20, 2007 AFAIK, the " is added only if the name has spaces. So if the game is installed in C:\My Games\Armed Assault, the shortcut needs "s, but C:\Games\ArmA won't need them. I don't have them either, and -nosplash worked for me. However as ade_mcc already said, it's not really that usefull in ArmA, the game startup won't speed up at all.
