lennard 447 Posted November 17, 2007 @ Sevan Well wipman got a point but if you convert the .jpg to a .paa file it works in-game. Atleast it worked for me. Lennard.
Sevan 0 Posted November 17, 2007 Hi, Sevan, your problem seems to be your graphic card; the ATIvcards don't display the .jpg textures of the custom faces. So unless you buy a GForce... no custom faces for you, "ATI vcard user". Let's C ya take a look at my user quote. I have an Geforce card. agian custom faces are working in SP, but not in MP. wipman 1 Posted November 17, 2007 Hi, then i don't know Sevan... i don't look at the other players computers, i got mine and works; that's all what i care. I fact... i didn't even looked at your signature (don't even seen it) but i don't know why that thing happens to you, my custom face works in MP and when i play i see alot of people that use some of this custom faces, so... i can't help you; sorry. enven 0 Posted November 17, 2007 Wipman, You inspired me to do up my arms like my very own...except for the additional Enven part... The poem on my arm is a Chuck Bukowski poem: Alone With Everybody the flesh covers the bone and they put a mind in there and sometimes a soul, and the women break vases against the walls and the men drink too much and nobody finds the one but keep looking crawling in and out of beds. flesh covers the bone and the flesh searches for more than flesh. there's no chance at all: we are all trapped by a singular fate. nobody ever finds the one. the city dumps fill the junkyards fill the madhouses fill the hospitals fill the graveyards fill nothing else fills. The skull is MC Escher's smoking skull! And the camo face looks awesome in game....I wish I could get a third person Screen a frontal one... wipman 1 Posted November 17, 2007 Hi, for take screenshots from the game, what i do is put some AI under my command and then switch to the Tactical View, zoom in or out until that i've something that could serve as anouncement, photo/screenshot or whatever and then... i hit: the Print Screenshot Key; then ALT+TAB & i open the Photoshop... & then CTRL+N & CTRL+V. I adjust the gamma, colours etc etc & done; we've a screenshot for the ArmA Photograpy thread or just for us. Let's C ya

Just stick this in your soldiers initialization field... <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">This exec "camera.sqs" No need for extra AI as you'll be a camera, also you can zoom in even closer! Sevan 0 Posted November 18, 2007 thanks for the help. I noticed that the custom face does work when I join a server, but not when I'm the host. Can anyone confirm if custom faces work when hosting? Edit: I should have figured this out earlier it's about max size limits of the custom face.

SnR 1 Posted November 18, 2007 Hi, another damn requested custom face, i don't know why the people don't do thiskind of faces 'emselve; they're really the most easy ones to do. It just take time (of my life) to erase the damn edges of the damn flag from the damn face so it looks blured (like if you were drunk, but worst; because you're not drunk.) Took me a bit too to find a good enough woodland aussie camo for the sleeve & the damn subdued aussie flag for the gloves so everyone can know that you're a southern knight. wipman 1 Posted November 21, 2007 Hi, another face, this time a skull look alike custom face with a Ãœber pimp Dead Kennedys patch in the gloves to make you show that Punk's Not Dead. The Face: (Best viewed with the Johnn's USMC 1.3) Let's C ya

wipman 1 Posted November 21, 2007 Hi, seems (Shadow_Spyder) that if you convert the .jpg file into a .tga (with full Alpha Channel) with whatever program and then you convert that .tga (using the TextView2) into a .paa, after rename the custom face to: face.paa . It should work without problems for the ATI users, but i don't know... i find it hard to belive. Let's C ya
wipman 1 Posted November 21, 2007 Hi, this is more or less how that last face look in game, used in combination with the Johnn's USMC 1.3 units, the Yossarian's M14 EBR 1.0 and my M1911-A1 + the ArmA Effect 0.52; depending on the settings and day time conditions... it can look different. wipman 1 Posted November 22, 2007 Hi, the best way of take screenshots like the 2Nd screenshot of those, is to have some AI under your command, and aim with the iron sights of a weapon and zoom in; then switch to the Tactical View and zoom in until that you've the desired zoom. Then, hit: Print Screenshot key... ALT+TAB open the Photoshop and then, CTRL+N & CRTL+V, take the crop tool, cut for what you want and if you need it, then edit the colours levels, gamma, brightness etc. As is said in the previous page. And sorry Shadow_Spyder, but ain't got any place where upload files other than graphic files (.jpg, .gif, .jpeg, .png, .tiff etc) so you've have to do it yourself. I have a buddy who has photoshop and he'll help me out. One quick question, can I get a version of both the desert and woodland camo faces, but without the sleeve on the arm? Just bare arm is prefered. Thanks man, your work is amazing.
