Red_Evasion 0 Posted December 28, 2006 Alright, please do not link me to that Sahrani Map I've seen like 100 times already, the flags on the map are not high-res enough. Since I do not own ArmA at the moment, I would like someone to link me to a high-res image of the South Sahrani flag, preferably from the in-game .pbo files. Abs_01 0 Posted December 29, 2006 "si vis pacem, para bellum"!? Not a lot of imagination went into that then, eh? Honestly that doesn't sound like a national slogan that the American forces in Sahrani should worry about, does it? Abs
NeMeSiS 11 Posted December 29, 2006 "si vis pacem, para bellum"!? Â Not a lot of imagination went into that then, eh? Â If/When peace is (violent?), "para" war. My latin is *kinda* rusty, could anyone give a proper translation?
Capt.Marion 0 Posted December 29, 2006 I belive the literal interpretation is "If you want peace then prepare for war" with my limited spanish, that kinda sounds like If you want peace, for/ in order to war... at least if this case of "para" isn't demented, twisted evil latin... RedDeviln 0 Posted January 4, 2007 "si vis pacem, para bellum" it's indeed: If you seek peace, prepare for war its a variation of the original quote by Roman general Vegetius "Qui desiderat pacem, preparet bellum" "He who desires peace, let him prepare for war" BIS used the quote in one of their original OFP-ads
