Jack-UK 0 Posted January 3, 2007 If its banning your ID telling you that you have fake software contact the publisher you bought it from. Email them your info + player ID etc and they should sort it out...
whisper 0 Posted January 3, 2007 I think that everyone experiencing this ammo dispersion "bug" sould post here their Player ID.Player ID is not your cd key, you can find it under your profile (start Arma and edit your profile, ID is a 6-8 digit number) I am 99% sure that only bad/banned IDs trigger that "bug". Im hesitant to post such things, no offence to you but you're not staff at BIS nor Morphicon (who incedently have the WORST support I've ever heard of, my advice is dont bother buying anything from them because they wont reply to email because its free and charge out the nose for telephone support), thus im not going to post info, especially when BIS havent even bothered to make a reply about this problem. I've learned a lesson here though, dont buy from BIS or Morphicon as they release buggy games and dont support you, they only want your money, I'm going to sell my copy and give up on this game if its not fixed in the next patch to be honest, why should I have my time wasted by companies that simply dont care about their customers? Because they care, perhaps? Understand that BI themselves are a rather tiny company that absolutely cannot answer to every complaint sent at then single handedly. They're not UBI, they, unfortunately, don't have the customer service people for this kind of things. Tbh OFP has been the game with one of the best "following" by its developers I've seen so far, patches were released looooooong after game was launched, and BI still supported their product years after. Maddmatt 1 Posted January 3, 2007 ...They're not UBI, they, unfortunately, don't have the customer service people for this kind of things... Yea UBI is so much better at releasing bug-free games on PC with great customer service and fast patches . Have you played Rainbow Six Vegas on PC? Frequent crashes, checkpoint bugs, sounds that don't stop repeating in MP. If you go into the server browser and don't apply any filters (just set it to show all servers) then the game will simply CTD. The first patch for the game fixed an issue where you couldn't change the resolution . ArmA doesn't touch that. Splinter Cell Double Agent and GRAW also were pretty bad. GRAW is mostly patched up now, but it came to late.
libertyordeath776 0 Posted January 3, 2007 How can one's ID be banned or bad if one has never played online? Howd i misread that? Anyhow, i just want to say i love Arma. I also played OFP for years.Im sure all this will be fixed in time, im patiently waiting. If all else fails ill just buy a new boxed copy when it comes out here in the US. Raz0rx 0 Posted January 3, 2007 If you don't know already, i'm not even gonna bother with you. Also, whisper, UBI fail so ridiculously bad at customer service.
whisper 0 Posted January 3, 2007 If you don't know already, i'm not even gonna bother with you. Also, whisper, UBI fail so ridiculously bad at customer service. Well, I took a silly example prolly . The point is : they are what? 30 people? This is BI. 30 people (well, I don't know exactly, may be more, but there's not customer service infrastructure)

They read the forum, remember all the whining about the flight model? The next patch it was improved. It has always been like this (in case you werent around in the 'OFP time' ), but they cannot post here in every tread and try to help you, but if you provide enough information you give them the ability to do something about it in the next patch. Jack-UK 0 Posted January 8, 2007 This troubleshooting forum is for players to help players. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=55348 Official Support thread info ^^^ If Morphicon is ignoring you it is not the fault of BIS...
Goldenwings2002 0 Posted January 8, 2007 Careful Universel, you might get banned for talking about a registry "banned" key for "test" purposes. Also, I wouldn't post a "virgin" playerID because you never know what the cheaters can do with keygens these days. They just might be able to create something off your player id and then you'll really be screwed. It seems there was nothing wrong after all. This gun fire spread only happens in CQB (1-10m). If I use the iron sights at any distance, all is great.
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted January 9, 2007 Protection software, pirated cd-keys and IDs should not be discussed here, thread name is pretty clear, stick to it.
robocheese 0 Posted January 9, 2007 Ahhhh finally some confirmation that its a bug and not protection then! thats all I've been waiting for! @Jack-UK : Not its not the fault of BIS if Morphicon ignore me, but its the fault of BIS if BIS ignore me, but its all good now as at least someone from BIS has confirmed this is a bug and not the protection, I'll wait till the next patch because the game is utterly unplayable at the moment, but if its not fixed then im going to sell my copy, as theres no point in having a game which has a bug that stops the game from being usable. I wouldn't put that in the description when you sell it. Not neccessarily the best bit of advertising
libertyordeath776 0 Posted January 9, 2007 Well people after playing for a while now, it seems only some weapons give me a problem. Also it seems to only be when im zoomed. When i use the reg onscreen white crosshairs it seems ok for the most part. Its wierd. The m24 gives me the most problems. I shoot best with the saw and ak-74 silenced.Im baffled really.
