Sandman 0 Posted January 30, 2002 Why put up a new site with new models and a new name, containing no information whatsoever of what it is, knowing that people (thats us) will speculate and try to find out what it is? BIS - you´re a bunch of teasers... U dont have to tease us and create a hype around your new project - we will buy it anyways (if its going to be published). We´re all sold on your products... Cant U tell when U have won?!? So c´mon, tell us what this new project is...it´s the right thing to do...and U know it... (this has nothing to do with me getting crazy of curiousity)

shadow 6 Posted January 30, 2002 seems like IL is a VERY upgraded OFP. Too much to only be a addon..... I saw somewhere around here that a guy published the source-code of the IL site and there were mentioned Oxygen2 hmmmmmmm
hbk 0 Posted January 31, 2002 I really think BiS should make a statement. Why would they put a new website ONLINE ? This is strange, hard to think it's "oops, sorry i was developping the site, and hmmm tooooo baaaaad i didn't notice i was working on the online version !" So, please, make a quick but explanative statement. PS: Except if you *love* rumouring
Tovarish 0 Posted January 31, 2002 It's all marketing...getting up the hype....remember when they were showing commercials with a N.Y. taxi getting crushed by this huge reptile foot....and then no explanation....and then a month or two later the new Godzilla movie came out? BIS is doing basically the same thing....giving us a little taste but keeping it minute enough that we really don't know what we're tasting.
Postduifje 0 Posted January 31, 2002 Check this out at http://www.computerandvideogames.com/front_index.php </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Flying up the left wing and going for Bohemia Interactive goal, we scored big when we got hold of Marek Spanel who told us what Independence Lost is all about. "It's a development of Bohemia Interactive's Australian Studio," Marek informed us, confirming a highly secretive rumour that we ourselves had heard. He continued, "Independence Lost has some close links to the previously announced VBS1 army simulation project, and it should be available to the public in 2002." And there's more: "It's not the expansion pack to Operation Flashpoint that was listed on the Codemasters release list for this year," he finished by stating, putting many ghosts to rest. <span id='postcolor'> IL has not once been linked to OperationFlashpoint at all, sure hope this isn't an entirely new game. theavonlady 2 Posted January 31, 2002 I've updated The FAQ item on IL, including most of the missing pics and the complete storyline text that were removed from IL's site plus the links to both interviews with Marek Spanel.
Mr ThunderMakeR 0 Posted January 31, 2002 LOL, I just noticed they took everything off the IL site, and I thought "Damn! I should have saved all that stuff to my hard drive" At least one of us was smart enough to think ahead, gj Avon lol. IMO, I think IL will basically be a watered down version of VBS with a storyline.
