DVD Issues

Recommended Posts

Well I have a DVD-writer+R/=RW 4x on my computer and it doesn't play DVD's

My BF2 DVD has problems running on the drive although sometimes it does run but I put that down to the DVD being scratched.

Cuple nights ago I put in my Peter Kay Pheonix Nights DVD and it didnt work either, the drive made the noise as if it was about to play it but didnt, it also made a funny noise as well like a brrrrrrrrrrrr, weird.

I also tried my Jarhead DVD in the drive and the same thing happened.

Any ideas of what's wrong and how I could fix the problem?

4000+MB / 700MB = How many CD's? wink_o.gif

Some games have been released on CD's when the DVD writers weren't standard (FarCry for example), but it really isn't necessary anymore because they have become standard.

"brrrrrrrrrrrr"

Brrrrrrrrrrrr, your drive is about to die wink_o.gif

I've had the same thing, it died shortly after.

ArmA's probably DVD.

Check for example World Of Warcraft, where you have 1 CD for the game and 3 (perhaps 4, not sure) for the world you're in.

All that would probably fit on one DVD.

Unfortunately our troubleshooting forums are solely for issues within the games themselves, you can try the pinned PC thread in the off topic forum instead.

And yes ArmA is on DVD (except for the Russian version).
