R0adki11 3949 Posted October 7, 2006 Hi all, i have decided to release my infantry to the public as a beta, the addon i know contains bugs, but the best way i thought would be to release the pack and see what people think and how i could improve on the pack. rellikki 7 Posted October 7, 2006 Some bugs I found:- - With the first try, I got an error about Fset1.p3d but it worked fine after that. - Untextured hands. - You can see trough the SAS and crew guy's goggles. - No shadows. - No wound textures. - When trying to play with the machine gunner, you'll get an error "No entry .model" - Medics can't heal. - Game crashes when you play with the officer. - With the pilots I get an error about rk_nli_pilot.p3d and it crashes the game. - The sniper model has its head on Pilot view LOD, causing that you can see the nose, mouth and stuff from inside. somebloke 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Personally i think the helmets and faces make them look too much like the EDF addons. I think you should go back to the other version without the hyk helmets etc. Like in the recent screenshots. I also got the same errors as Serial Killer. Also you could try making some helmet cover for them and some kind of vest for the SAS and some other units too, maybe... somebloke 0 Posted October 7, 2006 Suggestions for improvement. Â These are just things I personally would do if they were mine, but i'm not saying You Have To do it. First get rid of the SAS' helmet, and give them something like a Bob hat (it's basically a bobble hat with no bobble). Also give them a different weapon, say A 'Nam era M16. The gloves, well i'm not sure on the gloves perhaps make them fingerless gloves? or texture them differently. The pilot looks great, so keep him like that, or give him a headset. As i can't see the officer i dunno bout him. Tank Crew, i think need a side arm, like the normal crew. Marksmen, now, give him an M14 or something, because the sniper has a scoped rifle. Sniper is pretty much spot on. Now the medic, i liked your version of this guy with the white on his helmet. As i've said though, these are the changes I would make. Â You don't have to. rellikki 7 Posted October 7, 2006 Found another bug:- You can fix that by redefining the osobnost selection, so it only has the face itself in it. And how to do this? 1. Delete the the original osobnost selection. 2. Push CTRL and double click on the face texture on the texture list in oxygen (eg. "facestex2\f01.pac"). 3. zulu1 145 Posted October 8, 2006 I'm not one to complain much but this should have been a pre-beta release. Missing model message. No texture on fanny pack. KBL_L1a1m203 and KMMFNMAG/JAM not mentioned anywhere. A squad of 12 men, you only see 11, somebody is missing. No shadows. When you hilite your men you don't get the idicators showing thier position on the screen. Â One last thing, the sniper with scope just has an FN/FAL. SAS units dont need vests actually(as some one mentioned before) Only thing that SAS had like 2 pistol holsters, maybe remove one of them?
