little things that change life

Quote[/b] ]Well, this would sort of defeat the purpose of what the technique of rendering the arms and weapon is for

I disagree. The information is portrayed accurately with a lower poly exterior modeling as long as the position of the object is the same for all observers; the information is still conveyed and having full poly guns for all observers is unecessary as are forcing players to have crumy first person models.

And yeah I do like how vision in OFP is basically 3rd party observer sitting on your eyebrow, there's nothing artificial about what you're seeing in first person, your legs aren't invisible, ect.

all of those points listed are good, i would really like to see a supressing fire command so your teams lays down some cover fire for other parts of your squad to move into position/attack on.

I couldn't agree more. However, this would require programming enemy AI in such a way that they would actually be aware of being supressed. I am all for it, but let's face it - this would be more than just a "little thing".

Don't AI currently have some sort of "Morale" figure? Detecting enemy bullets incoming might lower that value and trigger flee or hide events?

You are correct. However, the difficulty lies with detecting the incoming bullets and configuring AI behavior upon suppression. VME mod does it right now, but their solution is only a stop-gap measure.

Again, this is a much needed improvement; it's just that it's a little more difficult than most of the suggestions by simba. BTW, we already have several threads on AI improvements. Maybe it's time that we re-visit some of them?
