Nathan Bedford Forrest 0 Posted June 17, 2006 Yes Jinef you big ginger f00', where were you? :P We did VIET-NAM HOOAARRGGH and then I got to have a 1337 SF weapon for the next one :P "Review" Time. Addon downloads were an arse - about 4-5 of us started with the intention of coming and were on TS with 2 of us eventually getting there. Downloading a 1.7gb torrent [good speeds though and saves bandwidth] spending five hours extracting [to about 6gb ], running .bat files then downloading kazakhstan and a half of updates is a bit arsey for some. However, Mr. Sickboy and whoever else works on the addon pack seems to know their stuff and therefore it's rather more stable than you'd expect. The gameplay is funz0r and a little like Zeus minus the AI. It's nice to see a realistic/tactical playing style along with some good banter and a sense of humour. The massive [:P] addon pack gives alot of scope for settings - with 'nam, WWII, modern and FDF all available. The two games I played were great fun - one a 'nam mission in which we eventually got ambushed and arsed up by pyjama wearing twats and the next was a 1337z0r SF romp through Afghanistan. If you've got a spare couple of hours and 6gb or so, I'd definately recommend going along and playing. I'm going back for sure. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Great that you like it! As said.. the missions were a bit arsed with the low amount of enemy bug... Just fixed it and uploaded new versions so you are going to be in for more action next time, but besides there's zillions of other missions to play ofcoarse. gunterlund 0 Posted June 17, 2006 tried downloading your full pack. for some reason your torrent exe file gets associated with windows media player. Is there a way just to download the pack direct. wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted June 19, 2006 well nice bunch of guys and some good gaming... however i am rather pissed off with what your addon pack installer has done to my ofp installation as it has apparently tampered with my origanal game files... i can no longer play on other servers that i might want to play due to the modified files messages...why the fuck you have there done this i have no idea...as these mods (texture replacement packs)should be left to the individual to run should he or she "WANT" to but instead you went and screwed my ofp installation with out asking,warning or telling me about any of it also due to you putting a shit load of addons and res/addons i'm going to have to clean those folder out because i can no longer make missions for my clan or the zeus community with that load of shit in my addons folders... so thanks for the games but no thanks for ruining my ofp installation warning dont install this pack if you want a clean ofp install Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Hi Mate, I am sorry for this condition: I did not think about the Worlds and res\addons\o.pbo fixup. The point is that we are a community that 99% only plays on our server, hence it was always nececairy to work it out this way, so everyone had the same stuff, had little to know nothing about the configuration etc.. If you want to clean your installation, use the OFP Cleaner on our site. It will put the res and normal addons folder back to normal and delete the 6thsense stuff. The worlds folder and O.pbo, you can grab back from your cd's, only thing to do is re-run 1.96update to check if all file versions are corrent. If you want I can send you the clean versions anyway.
