Snake Man 407 Posted May 22, 2006 It was brought to our attention that in Mapfact Workshop the Mapfact guys leaked these three titles: ODOL Explorer v2.45 PanTool v1.4.0.0 WrpTool v1.01 Release Candidate 2 These releases are unauthorized by WrpTool Development Team and were not meant to be released. Mapfact was specificly informed NOT to release these titles, yet they did. Its really sad to see Mapfact conducting themselves in such manner May 22nd, 2006. WrpTool Dev Team Dschulle, Snake Man. Wrptool is what people make islands with i belive (or am i getting confused with wrpedit?) and the wrptool development team, i would presume, are the guys who developed it. You might be on to something, hopefully the mods will lock this before we have a reprisal of the delightful name calling and insinuations that surrounded VTE, PBOx, ODOL Explorer, and WRPtool as well. My fuel on the fire... What better place to discuss this than at Mapfact? Props to sniping-jack though for picking up the ball and continuing to support WRPtool after I got banned for suggesting that OFP and VBS share the same engine, therefore the bugs were in WRPtool, not the game engine. DBR_ONIX 0 Posted May 22, 2006 *Sigh* I totaly fail to see the big deal with things like PBOx, ODOL Explorer etc... I can see why if a big company, who has spent thousands or millions of dollars/pounds/etc, will be angry if their software gets leaked. But for a group of people, creating a program for the community, and/or for fun and to learn programming, I completely do not see why people get so up-in-arms about a "leak" of such a program.. I would be glad to have more testers, and surely having more content created for the game you've worked so hard to make tools for is good.. I distance myself from that position, since it was discussed with Snake Man and sniping-jack before and it's therefore not to be seen as a leak. I request to lock or even better delete this thread. Besides that, IIRC Snake Man mentioned the upcoming v1.0 of WrpTool more then once in the PMC forums. Fromt hat source I knew since months that a new version is coming (and can't wait for it). Same goes for ODOL Explorer v2.45, I also know since quite a while that this version exists. So no leaking at all (at least for me). And I have no contact with the dev team at all.
