GO TO POST NUMBER 8.... for proper readme and downloads... or at mirror at bottom of this post) I just want to add this is no where near as good as or trying to be like "dynamic afghanistan"... You will play as a Delta team leader I call this a "dynamic (kinda)/CTI (ish)" mission because has an element of randomness in it however the objectives are always the same but you can decided where on the map to go next. For Example when you start you have two objectives in two seperate zones (South & East). If you complete the south zone first you will then get the option to complete the west zone. same for the East and North. Missions will be the same each time you play but will range from Take and hold to destroy and attack missions. Also each town that you take you must hold untill rangers arrive and secure the town. the time varies. and the enemy numbers vary. I have used SnYpirs support pack not only to provide airstrikes, CAS, resupply missions and infantry support but also to give you an Insert chopper that will insert (Rope in) you anywhere on the map you choose. The pack also allows you to call extraction, you will need this to get to next objective and to resupply, regroup etc.... I have used two scripts to manage the enemy. 1) A spawn script by Doolittle this one will just be used to hide/delete some preplanned units untill the player is in the correct zone. then it deletes them after they are dead. 2) Second a enemy manager by Chaos. This spawns a single group of varying size dependednt on your location and continues to spawn untill you leave that area. It also sends units towards you. This allows the player to constantly be under attack even after the initial units and objectives have been eliminated. --------- Hope to have first beta by end of week! This could be used as a template for others to do with as they wish. Also a few idea you might like to include, or draw from.. Have you tried looking at Mapfact's DAC? Â You may find this usefull Also you could gain something from tacrod's CoIn Not to mention mapfact's respawn script. Kendo J 1 Posted April 27, 2006 Stegman, No you are not critical anyhelp is appreciated. Yeah I have looked at these and do plan to use some of them in the future. However, I am almost finnished this version so i am not about to start from scratch. The idea behind this mission is to combine some of the ideas in a Dynamic mission and a classic BIS style mission. I sometimes feel like Dynamic missions are too random and certian aspects are not taken into account like Story lines, reasons for trgets and objectives being occupied by enemy. and why one player group is responsible for winning a war. In my mission you do not win the war but take part in all the major engagements in your spec op role. I do plan to make a default version on an original island, However, I need to use some addons like "snYpirs support pack" (Support Pack controls the choppers, these are vital) Â So if i use this addon why not others... perhaps just Support pack and Jam 3? regrads Kendo p.s. I will try and have the Beta v0.1 ready for tommorow (Friday 28/04/06) p.p.s (ed.s 29/04/06) Sorry dudes no dice on the mission yet trying to finnish for Monday I went tot the pub and got pissed instead!. mcbean 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Hello, Ken! i've played this mission for 2 days, but i get killed in first city every time! Too hard for me but i like it! Some bug report: 1) When, you calling for extract by pressing 0-0-7 and mouse click on the map - chopper crashing in airfield's fuel station! 2) second bug, i noticed, it's that when you calling for back up Delta squad, they are crashing every time trying to disembark! thats all for now. why don't you use HD mags for opfor this time? Kendo J 1 Posted May 2, 2006 McBean, I have had some problems with helos crashing but not everytime! The extract helo has never crashed into the fuel station for me..... Only on landing at extract point when enemy are shooting at it! I will look into this However, I have found that the helos only crash during disembarking or extraction missions when you don't choose a nice flat area for them to land on! I have seen the helos in snYpirs support pack crash into stuff if thier target point is too close to the heli pad. This is because they don't take off high enough before they start to move forward and dive in to the gorund. Make sure you are more than 1000 metres away... otherwise you might as well just run home! mcbean 0 Posted May 4, 2006 another bug report. bugs i found while playing: 1) after you call a Ranger platoon, two choppers (Chinooks), when return to base, just flying in the air... spinning in the air 2) one more is that, there is no marker appears, when pointing on the map (extraction, insertion and e.t.) small bug, but it is really inconvenient 3) and the last one, i noticed is: my men (from my squad) somehow managed to board in pilot place, so INSERT green become useless it's all for now and hope you'll release fixed version Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Kendo J 1 Posted May 8, 2006 Mc Bean, Never seen the squad get in the pilot seat forthe insert choppers the pilot and gunner should be in thier seats when the chopper is on the ground. And... the chinooks do that and i don't know why?... it is something with snYpirs support pack?... it is possibe to edit the scripts However, the script you need to edit s in the addon, therefore you wuld need SnYpirs permission and have to release an updated version which everone would have to download. ---------------------- Commando 84, It should be playable on LAN or anyother multiplayer HOWEVER, I think the insert script needs to be slightly different. The insert script i used was for singleplayer but SnYpir provides a multiplayer script that does exactly the same thing for multiplayers...
