Like I said, the GT6600 (the difference between regular 6600 and GT is bigger than you probably think) would be the lowest common denominator in my opinion. Hell, i'd go with something even more powerful than that if I had the money.

I know that. Buying one of the 9200 or FX5200 series is just plain stupidity...

Depends a lot on the manufacturer, id rather a 300W quality PSU over some chinese cheap POS "450W" PSU anyday.

300W wouldn`t be enough, GeForce cards needs more power.

It would be enough if use only one HDD and one optical drive, maybe. If you don`t want that your new PC enlight itself, give him more power.

I used to run a 6600GT with a cruddy 300w psu,mind you the ampage on the 12v rail was pretty stable.6600le will probably ship with 4 pixel pipes as opposed to the 8 in a 6600 and 6600 gt...unless you very lucky and get one of the earlier models it probably wont unlock to a 6600.Having had the GT i can say it good for a less expensive card,great overclocker if you add a decent HSF,good one with stock fan,plays all new games on medium settings no problem...definitely worth paying the bit extra for over the 6600/le.Look at this..Å88 for a 6600gt..dunno what shipping to Sverige will be tho' http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/6600_Series.html

If you put 2 types of ram in your PC the fastest type will run as fast as the slowest type.

(well, maybe they changed it, but it used to be like that AFAIK)

You can change that trough BIOS afaik. I can do that on this comp I'm at right now, also at another one (with different MoBo/BIOS) so it should work.

If not, I'll just have the PC3200 memstick.

You can of course change the speed setting from the bios, but unless the memory stick is something very special you will very severe stability problems or just fry the damn thing outright.

And as for the amount of memory.. well, I have 1GB of it and games like battlefield 2 can eat that up easily.

There are times when a pc can get under (any sane) budget too. By making the changes you plan you will take all the advantage out of the new system and practically make it an old one.

@Espectro: After a while I will buy a 1GB stick, so I will have 1,5GB RAM. Just don't have the money right now. (Very thight budget)

Apart from that the choices for Mainboard, memory, GPU are excellent, but why no S-ATA HDD?

The difference in performance is pretty big.

Box means that stock cooler comes with it. Altough I recommend you get yourself a different one, I have an Glacialtech Igloo 7200 and it serves me well, altough Zalmans are the best out there AFAIK.

Would be a shame to buy fast components and slow the entire pc down with the HDD.

CPU looks fine, although you should check if the mainboard supports it (not just talking about socket).

I misread the mainboard info and thought you had selected an ASUS mainboard instead of an Abit one. Alot of people I know in real life prefer ASUS because they just work well for them. But it's a personal preference of course.
