BRDM-2

Recommended Posts

Beautyful! Beautyful! Beautyful!

Finally a new BRDM-2!

Is there any chance we'll be able to use the rough terrain crossing wheels on this one?

I don't think that's possible within the current OFP engine.

This is a very nice BRDM. Is there any chance you could make a version without any gun turret on the top so we could use it for replacing the BIS BRDM?

This picture explains purpose - it simply improves vehicle cross-country ability. They are quite useless in OFP because there are no such ditches or craters

These are completely different vehicles. Simply, removing only the turret won't make it a good replacement. crazy_o.gif

It was about f****** time somebody build a worthy replacement for that useless BIS model. I'm still looking forward to SFMs BRDM2 pack because it contains at lot of variants like the AT3 model but this one will absolutly do - that's for sure... xmas_o.gif

well they look almost identical to the BIS BRDM.

I dont care if its accurate or not, because if the turret was removed it would make a great replacement.

looks like you wouldnt care if BIS would put there space ship from star wars

BIS OT is not BRDM-2

so no matter what, it wont be real replacement, couse those are two completly different vehicles.

Yep... it's like BIS putting in a Type 90 and calling it a Leopard 2!

Are there any plans for a BRDM armed with AT-3 Saggers? How about SA-9 Gaskin?

Gaskin has been done by Project MCar

Well, the addon is ready. You can download it from here (2.53 MB). It's manned by standard BIS East crewmen (gunner & driver) and can hold additional three passangers. The vehicle contains standard BIS ammo loadout (AK74, PK, SVD, RPGLauncher magazines). Numbers on vehicle's sides are given randomly. I hope you find it useful even if its not unarmed FUG replacement.

I'm talking about a Gaskin that uses a BRDM chassis instead of the OT

If MCAR wants to remake theirs Gaskin using this chassis, they're welcome to. This addon comes as MLOD and it's open for anybody to modify.
