jakerod 254 Posted November 6, 2005 Picture #1 Picture #2 Picture #3 Picture #4 Tool Used: Visitor & Buldozer Known Information: Custom Textures appear correct in Buldozer. Custom Textures appear as water in Mission Editor. Custom Textures appear transparent ingame. When walked on it sounds like water. Some Custom Textures appear okay. ag_smith 0 Posted November 6, 2005 What are the relevant texture names (file names)? Does this happen on every island you use those textures?
jakerod 254 Posted November 7, 2005 I've only tried them on one island. Texture Names: J1.paa N1.paa N2.paa I believe those are the ones that are giving me trouble.
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted November 7, 2005 is it something to do with texture limit ? this happened to me making islands in visitor with custom textures if i redid those parts over using less textures it would go back to normal but when i tried to put other textures in the prob came back the more textures = more transitions = hit limit quicker
jakerod 254 Posted November 7, 2005 No I checked I presently only have about 358 in use on the island right now.
ag_smith 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Try renaming those textures to see if it helps, although I doubt it. Never seen something like that before.
jakerod 254 Posted November 8, 2005 Custom Textures B2.paa Unknown (Not Used on Map at All) T2.paa Works C2.paa Works J5.paa Does Not Work Renamed to J1.paa still doesn't work A1.paa Works S2.paa Works Original Resistance Texture W1.paa   Works N1.paa     Does Not Work Original Resistance Texture N2.paa     Does Not Work SN1.paa    Does Not Work Nogova Textures (On Old Island) J1.paa Works T1.paa Works B1.paa Works S2.paa Works pt.paa Works I don't really see any type of pattern or anything like that. Planck 1 Posted November 8, 2005 Just out of curiousity.....Do they all have alpha layers? Planck
jakerod 254 Posted November 8, 2005 Not entirely sure, they weren't made by me. They were made by Fischkopp so I will ask him about that when I see him again. I don't think that would be a problem either because the resistance BIS snow texture doesn't seem to work either.
Planck 1 Posted November 8, 2005 yes, I looked at one of the snow textures......it seems to have an alpha. The only other thing I can think of is the .wrp file. What format is it...4WVR,OPRW v2, OPRW v3? If it is 4WVR, try binarizing it, this will make it OPRW v3. If that doesn't work, try editing it to OPRW v2. WrpEdit will load OPRW v2, but not OPRW v3, and then only 12.8 X 12.8 km. If you can get it into WrpEdit you can set the default flags. Planck
jakerod 254 Posted November 9, 2005 Just out of curiousity, I have never made new textures before is there supposed to be an alpha layer in it or is there not supposed to be?
Planck 1 Posted November 9, 2005 I don't think alpha makes much of a difference, at least all the original terrain textures that I have looked at have alpha. Might be something to try sometime, make textures without alpha and see what happens. Planck
