D.murphy man 0 Posted October 22, 2005 actully if u do a quik search on google you can find a few sites with demo downlaods, im downloading it now. 130 MB gonna be a while
DBR_ONIX 0 Posted October 22, 2005 130MB is tiny for demos now.. A lot of demos are well over 300mb, the HL2 demo was 700mb etc.. Anyway, I'll wait to see what others think of the game before I bother downloading - Ben
DracoPaladore 0 Posted October 22, 2005 It's no groundbreaking game. But from what I hear, it's only about 30$ at launch. Pretty cheap in comparison to the 60-70$ I'm paying for most these days. Loved the movie too.

D.murphy man 0 Posted October 22, 2005 Well just played threw the demo level - the theater. First impressions is that its not a bad game, average graphics, standerd FPS forumlar. Not much impressed really. They had nice touches to it like you can turn on the radio and interact with just about every thing and the body bags twitching away. I jumped out my chair once or twice when the zombies come from unexpected angles or one the corpses im standing over gets up. the atmospheres spot on, and the weapons are your standerd Uber sniper rifle, glock, revovler, shot gun. And a large rang of melee weapons ranging from hammers to fire axes to lead pipes ect.. Finally the AI is a bit dodgy at places, some times the zombies dont move seem to get stuck behind things or not notice you and just stand there whiles you smash its skull in with a shovel. For me it was a nice game for a quik blast and some mild entertainment, i was hoping to see more Hordes in the demo rather then just one or two zombies around every corner but i supose there saving that for the full game. Although i think the multiplayer will be a blast with this game. (And yea i suck at writing about games ) Edit: Just played it again and i must say the fire axe is lots of fun! Pathy 0 Posted October 24, 2005 Gah i can never time my fireaxe swings and the zombies are deadly at close range. Love what i see, but dont know if the whole game would be worth buying - i could see it getting repetitive - i don't find games like this, or any "horror" games really really scary, because i always assume that the dead body on the floor is going to spring up at me, ect. I tried the SP demo, scariest thing about it was its performance, little girls dont scare me that much really, after playing Doom3 i dont see what the fuss is all about honestly, overhyped ? Thunnder Bunny 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Played the sp demo and I found it to be average to good. Reminds me of postal 2 allot. But thats ok cause I liked P2!! I'm not sure but is there a system for using tools/weapons with certain zombies? I looked at the hammer and said (you got to be kidding), I ain't getting that close I hope the shotgun does better in the full game. Was expecting some old school head pop'n (resident evil style). But my shot didn't even touch em. Center mass only seems to work with the shotty Zombies themselves look very good ,wish we had them in ofp. Been awhile since I played a dedicated zombie game where hiding in a room meant you were half way safe. I'm use to ofp zom's walking through walls Lock yourself in the bathroom ,it looks pretty cool with them busting the doors down into pieces. Even in half life2 I never seen that. In the end I might have to pick it up. Although I'd like to see some detailed outside footage befor I buy it.
