Guest RKSL-Rock Posted October 21, 2005 You can take a look at one of the possible layouts in the link below But in the meantime: CLICK the image for a full size version. Runway Layout Example This is the layout from RKSL Test Island 1's main airport.  You can play with the pieces to get pretty much any layout you want. Alot of people have asked to use the Runway textures from RKSL Test Island 1 so here you go. You can check out some of the textures used in the TI1 gallery here. I should point out that these really are a part of an unfinished project that has just dragged on too long.  If you don’t like the quality etc or just want to complain just don’t download/use them The pack contain 104 unique 512x512 tiles that are based on the standard BIS Nogova B1.paa texture. When put together properly they create a runway that is 100m wide and taxiways that are upto 50m wide - ideal for a proper size airport or large airbase. There are some mismatches in places but i just havent had the time to correct them. Please note this is not an island or addon - this is purely a texture pack for Island makers to use. >>DOWNLOAD HERE<< Files size is 10.7Mb Registration is NOT required. MIRROR 1 = Opflash.org - Thanks ManHunter09 MIRROR 2 = OFP.info 1 OFP.info 2 MIRROR 3 = OFPBase.com Usual stuff applies, don’t blame me if you blow your PC up etc.  Feel free to use them in anything you do but please provide a link to my website in your readme. As always mirrors are greatly appreciated. All the Best Rock

Daniel 0 Posted October 21, 2005 They look beautiful! Can't see why all islands won't use these in the future.

-HUNTER- 1 Posted October 21, 2005 YESSSSSS!!! Â I really needed some realistic looking textures for a nice military base! YAAAY!! Â Â Â Opflash.org mirror
BlackScorpion 0 Posted October 21, 2005 Hmmm, very nice. Now I'll have to decide whether I use the or Gaia airport textures on my (possibly) upcoming island...
-HUNTER- 1 Posted October 21, 2005 The Gaia textures were indeed the best airport textures before these came, allthough Ive not seen any map been made with those textures. I myself have made various airport locations with those textures. Im very happy now to FINALLY have realistic textures and make a airport where even the biggest planes can land and taxi. -HUNTER- 1 Posted October 21, 2005 Rock have you got like a map how to place those tiles. Ive been messing arround in the editor now for a while now but I cannot get the puzzle to work... the main pieces are easy but the taxiway's.... If you could like give a sat photo of your airport (the way the textures are positioned) then I can get it to work and check out all the tiles in OFP. Main runway 2 cells wide is excellent great for the AN124

Rock, I've a special tool I made for this purpose myself. Because it's command line operated and requires JVM, I don't think it's worth to release it. But if you upload the .wrp file somewhere and give me a link, I can repath textures in a minute. Just give me know the old and new paths... Oh,... it works only with 4WVR format. Shouldn't be a problem as it seems you're using WRPTool, right?

Thanks for doing this - its saves me the drudgery of manually replacing in WRP Tool Cheers Rock

Wonder 0 Posted October 22, 2005 Any plans on creating runway light objects? The kind of which you can see a bit further away than just 300m?
Guest RKSL-Rock Posted October 22, 2005 Any plans on creating runway light objects? The kind of which you can see a bit further away than just 300m? nope. This is purely a texture job. I'm culling off my inactive/unwanted projects - one of the decisions i made was not to do anymore buildings etc until ArmA and concentrate instead on getting the SAM system and aircraft out the door at a decent standard. Messiah 2 Posted October 22, 2005 ehm...howto convert more than 100 tgas into paa files? textview, a big pot of coffee and alot of free time (although a very good point - i wish there was a mass conversion tool available which would convert a large amount of textures at once and send them to the directory you needed them in)
Sgt_Eversmann 1 Posted October 22, 2005 ehm no not coffee...cola...I don't like coffee ye...over 100 textures to convert without loose of quality or only a litte bit...
