Blackblood 0 Posted November 11, 2005 @akd Thanx! This is great stuff but i'm afraid STGN beat you to it thru pm. But please keep 'em updates coming (both Shrike & SCAR news). Progress pics (reworked stock and newly started EGLM). Facecount: 2005 (without aimpoint: 1550). Buttshot.

Progress pics (reworked stock and newly started EGLM). Facecount: 2005 (without aimpoint: 1550). Buttshot. Cool! Well, everyone deserves to see! If I might make a recommendation, maybe pump some detail into the optic tubes, even at the expense of other areas. Jackal did so in the SJB pack, and I think it makes a huge difference, especially when you consider that the back of that aimpoint is the part of the model you will spend 90% of your time playing looking at. Good idea. Will do. The aimpoint is a copy from INQ's kit. No alterations besides removing unseen faces have been done. Gonna go for the ACOG seen in the photos first tho. PSYCHOSIM 0 Posted November 12, 2005 When released, will there be a folded version in the pack?
Blackblood 0 Posted November 12, 2005 When released, will there be a folded version in the pack? Yes, but only for the 251 mm barrel setup. I leave the conceal/draw weapon scripting to you guys...
akd 0 Posted November 16, 2005 a tidbit, might be new: http://world.guns.ru/assault/scar-l_disasm.jpg http://world.guns.ru/assault/scar-l_eglm.jpg found here if direct links don't work, but I'll get them up on my own shortly: world.guns.ru They also updated their info: Quote[/b] ]As it turned out, FN SCAR rifles are not based on any previous weapons but designed from the scratch. In all variants FN SCAR rifles feature gas operated, short stroke piston action with rotating bolt locking. Bolt system appears to be somewhat similar to that of FN Minimi / M249 SAW machine gun. This system apparently is less sensitive to fine sand, dust and any other fouling inside the receiver, than any system with M16-type multi-lug bolt and plunger-type ejector. Blackblood, you might also considering modelling the SCAR versions with optics with both of the flip-up ironsights in the down position, ala the above and this photo, as they would obstruct the optics. Your current version seems to have the rear sight down and the fore sight up.

akd 0 Posted November 16, 2005 Okay, the world.guns site is idiotic about even hyperlinking the tiny-ass images. Edited above. here we go. first gens: second gens:
Blackblood 0 Posted November 16, 2005 ...you might also considering modelling the SCAR versions with optics with both of the flip-up ironsights in the down position, as they would obstruct the optics. Okeydokey. The last pic is a new one for me. Puts the last pieces of the puzzle (almost). The EGLM is still a shot in the dark since no dimension or 3d info is available. I'll do my best to make it look bada***...I mean "realistic". BTW Where did you find the disassembled-pic?
stgn 39 Posted November 16, 2005 Just make a cylinder with a 40mm diameter then you have somthing too aim after. STGN

Blackblood 0 Posted November 16, 2005 Sorry. I'm extra dense today.
Blackblood 0 Posted November 16, 2005 OK, time for a mini poll: I got three optics for the ACOG (nevermind the simple red dot): light, medium and dark. I can't decide sooo...I'll let you do it for me, ok? The candidates: Light Medium Dark And finally some proof of me actually doing anything on this: Buttons, controls, levers and gadgets etc in 3d but not fully textured yet. See ya soon! Blackblood 0 Posted November 17, 2005 the one you just asked our opinions on  *insert heavy blush here* I need my sleep.....just back from a KMFDM concert. They forgot to return my brain at the entrance. I'm leaning towards the middle one too. Ok people, we have a staggering lead with 0-2-0 in votes!
FA-MAS F1 0 Posted November 17, 2005 I've been hoping for an FN SCAR and a shrike, for civil contractors, in OFP for a while. Thank you very much!
honchoblack 2 Posted November 17, 2005 Another vote goes to medium.
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted November 17, 2005 I'm with the middle one too. It's all looking great btw BB
Jackal326 1182 Posted November 17, 2005 I'd have to vote for medium too. Its looking top-notch mate, it seems safe to knock the SHRIKE (and SCAR for that matter) off of my "To-Do" list.
