Survival Horror mod

When we sleep, we have dreams - unexplainable occurences.  Spirits enter us in our sleep to give us messages of future events (dejavu), suicide (when we feel like we are suddenly falling and wake up startled), and other messages that help us.

However, there are evil spirits that, at times, enter us in our sleep at a young age in attempts to scare us.  Fear leaves people vulnerable to posession, where demons take control upon humans.

Since the 19th century, demons have kept silent.

Waiting, Planning - their final war against gods creations.

No Campaign title yet, so it's Survival Horror mod for now.  If you want, post up some titles for concideration.

This campaign is going to be made for both Operation Flashpoint, and then ported to Armed Assault.

While I'm not saying much yet - simply because I havent planned alot yet - all I can say is this will not be a mod for the easily scared - and for people who find these types of things offensive.  The mod will contain extremely disturbing imagery, sounds, etc that some may not find appealing.

But we're all shooting each other, so I'm sure there wont be a problem....

I may release a demo in a bit which will contain an exorcism scene.  But no real playability yet.  Just wanting to show off some of the cutscene and horror mechanics first.

p.s. The camera view in the first photo is the in-game playing camera view I'm trying to get in the addon... I think I have an idea of how to do it, but if anybody could give a suggestion, I'm here to listen.

btw, you should use HYK's arctic troops if your going to make US snow troops, if you want to

Looks good, but heavily scripted missions tend to lag like hell in ofp crazy_o.gif And this looks like it will be heavily scripted.

I hope AA fixes that biggrin_o.gif

As long as scripts are sequenced and have proper ending tags it should run fine... I just about finished the cathedral today, just got to fix up some parts and make it more real looking. The textures are fairly high in quality.

Today I also may be working on some of the posessed people you have to kill. with models etc. There will be posessed children in this mod that you have to kill when they run after you at abnormally fast speeds and attempt to rip and bite you in pieces.

If I can, I'll try and get a few screencaps of them as soon as I start making them and get them ingame, which could be today.

Yea I'm not a big fan of those pillars myself .... I'll prob find something better for them, maybey a little more dark and brooding.

Hi Specop9, for ancient textures i found that Dave Gurrea's site is very useful. Check it out and

see yourself .

Lot's of textures over there fitting extremely into your theme wink_o.gif

I would also like to say that you should use some darkwood

textures for the benches inside the church, as now they are

looking a) to equal, b) too new.

But as already said - your texture worries should be over after

checking out Dave Gurrea's site.

PLEASE say this is goign to have at least some of the missions in co-op mode. I love playing Nogova Virus online and this looks far better than that. Looking good.

Originally this was going to be a MP Coop Campaign, but now it's SP.  But I still want to put in plenty of MP stuff (I like making MP maps more than SP anyway)

btw it wont be single player missions, but a Campaign smile_o.gif

this sounds a bit silent hilly or something like that biggrin_o.gif i like the different concept and stuff, the more custom the merrier yay.gif yeah hyk soldiers are good and the weapons there are very nice too. Hope you get some scary sounds and nice music in the campaign too crazy_o.giftounge2.gif

lets just say I'm working on a ton of OFP stuff, heh, while at the same time trying to throw some of my life into my day :P

Insane Asylum mod wont be forgotten. And this mod wont take me away from working on GAW neither.
