jens198 0 Posted September 4, 2005 Hi,Just a note to anyone who was having trouble saving/loading in the "Deal with the dealer" mission. This was a JAM3 related problem - a fix is now available in the JAM3 thread. Fantastic work King Nothing. 1985 CWC quality. Cheers, CH Hi, I'm using the JAM2 (the one that was linked on he Revolt 1998 thread) and get the save/load error while playing the "Deal with the dealer" mission. I've (re)downloaded all the addons and put them in a seperate mission folder (looks exactly like the one, that came with the readme files). Any ideas what's up there? I never had somehting like this in OFP. And BTW, this is indeed the best 3rd party campaign I've ever played!!! Keep up the good work King Nothing! cu Jens

bardosy 158 Posted September 5, 2005 King Nothing! It was a very nice campaign!!! I had a very good weekend! Thanks a lot... Two littlie bugs: 1., After the finishing all objective in Tatu I want run to the excratction point and HQ said in the radio: "don't leave the town, finish the mission first", but all objectives are comlete. 2., In the bonus mission (sniper) doesn't work correctly the script. If I shoot, the camera show me for 20-30 seconds and only a few times show the terrorists die.
cornhelium 0 Posted September 5, 2005 Hi jens, Quote[/b] ]I'm using the JAM2 (the one that was linked on he Revolt 1998 thread) and get the save/load error while playing the "Deal with the dealer" mission. I never had somehting like this in OFP. It's not really an error - it just takes a very long time to save/load. The reason is that there are 24 JAM ammocrates in the shed at the first objective, and OFP wants counts the ammo in all those crates as part of the save The initial release of JAM3 made this worse because I'd filled the ammocrates with even more ammo by default. Now though, it's fixed and the save/load times are exactly the same whether you use JAM2 or JAM3 (about 90 seconds on my computer). Great mission though - very atmospheric and almost reminds me of Thief: Deadly Shadows Cheers, CH

Kyle_K_ski 1 Posted September 6, 2005 King Nothing, THANK YOU for all of your hard work in this fantastic campaign! Wow! Thus far it is immensely better than my original run through of the default OFP campaigns (which I loved). All hail King Nothing! I'm hoping someone can give me a hand with the smartly designed mission I'm stuck on, Respect the Gun. I'm at the extraction point, and I'd like to radio my pickup, but that's not an option made available to me through the command keys. However, I've noticed that there's a hand radio displayed whenever I open up my map. I'm now assuming that I have to use that in order to request my pickup. How do I use it? Specific step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Kyle

Kyle_K_ski 1 Posted September 10, 2005 Hmmm... I'm already at the extraction point, and I've done a LOT of walking around, and I've yet to be notified that I can radio out for the extraction. I'm keep hitting the "0, 0" key combo to pull up the "radio" menu, but it's always ghosted out. I guess I'll do some more wandering around in the hopes that the "it's now OK to radio" trigger is tripped. I'll let you know how it goes soon. Thanks for your feedback! Kyle_K_ski 1 Posted September 11, 2005 Ha ha ha. Boy, do I feel like a dolt. The reason why I wasn't able to call for the airlift was due to the fact that I missed one enemy at the street intersection. I've since moved on in the campaign, and I'm stunned by its quality. I'll tell more later. Yours, Kyle
nubbin77 0 Posted September 16, 2005 This campaign is brilliant. Absolutely top notch. My only complaint (and its only because I suck) is that you won't let me cheat past a mission. I have replayed the same mission 20 times. And I keep making one mistake or my buddy dies. And I"m starting to get sick of doing the same mission over and over. What really sucks is when your buddy dies and you don't hit the load button on time, them it starts the whole thing over and you lose your save. UHHGHGSagat... asdlgj Ok. Gonna go try again. I hate that I keep doing that.

judge&jury 0 Posted September 16, 2005 After playing your campaign from start to finish in two days, I must say that I am no less than stunned at the quality of the missions and attention to detail put into the gameplay. To be honest, I didn't think the Opflash engine was capable of such complex environments, scripting and smooth gameplay. This is a real feather in your cap King Nothing - you pushed the boundaries of a four year old engine to the max and delivered a gameplay style completely different to the original Flashpoint campaign (casualty limits - pure genius!!. Well done, old chap! I did however encounter some bugs while playing some of the missions. For instance, my soldiers had quite a lot of difficulty moving through crowded areas like dense jungle (squares of forest with very tall trees) or urban sprawl, and I usually had to stick to the main roads in order to get them to go anywhere. This probably has more to do with the tonal island than your missions, but I thought it was worth mentioning nonetheless. I also had several problems in the second last mission. Firstly, I found that the government armour did not attack the city hall when ordered, leaving my small squad of three Rangers to clear out a huge number of rebels. They just sort of hung around the back, not doing anything at all. The second problem is related to the first, in that my Rangers got totally slaughtered when I approached the city hall. In the mission briefing it says that only one casualty is allowed, but by the end of the mission at least two of my guys died without any message about too many casualties. I then proceeded to the next mission and kicked rebel ass! Again, not really a problem (only one casualty? what were you thinking?!? :P), but something worth mentioning. And finally, last but not least, the grammar of the briefings needs to be polished up a little. It's no where near as bad as some of the campaigns/missions I've seen out there, but I did feel it detracted from the very polished overall image. Again, I'd like to offer my thanks and congratulations for creating such a kick ass campaign!
Murmur2k 0 Posted September 16, 2005 Its great but due to my poor fighting skills I still am not past the 2nd mission!!
Kyle_K_ski 1 Posted September 18, 2005 I think I'm at the last mission of the campaign, the one where you have to rescue/escort the diplomats while armored support rolls in before the main area can be assaulted, and I'm once again experiencing a pretty major bug that's keeping me from rescuing the diplomats: my squadmates begin to fire on me! Why is that? I haven't hit them with a single round, I haven't wounded the diplomats, and I haven't used any enemy equipment and/or vehicles. The "become an 'enemy' if one uses an enemy's vehicle" bug was encountered by me in the mission JUST PRIOR to this one (the mission where one captures the high ranking rebel officer). In that mission, whenever I tried using the truck that's parked there to haul the captured officer and my men to the blackhawk extraction point, as soon as I hop out of the truck my men began firing on me. Since said mission, I've taken GREAT pains to avoid any other such mistake. Any ideas as to how I can save the diplomats and not have my men fire on me? Thank you! ijozic 9 Posted September 18, 2005 Hello all, I have a big problem with this campaign. I'm stuck on second mission. i kill all the rebels, load the ammo boxes into the truck and then drive the truck south over the bridge. After several hundred meters the mission ends succesfully but when I click on continue, it returns me to the start menu. I'm using Ofp Res 1.96 with FxFur installed but don't use it for Revolt; I just use regular Ofp Res with -mod parameter.
Totala 0 Posted September 24, 2005 I wish I could play it much further. I am also stuck at the "deal with the dealer" 2nd mission. First objective is complete but sounds like I can't get the second one done. I shot probably all rebels at "the meeting place" but nothing happens, no more rebels ... what am I suppose to do there ? Thanks ! Great campain anayway

neuronios 0 Posted September 26, 2005 I have trouble. Cant get past the mission where you earn the bonus mission respect the gun for whiping out hidden enemy camp.I get extracted by Blackhawk and start to head home when the notebook with the "mission complete" appears, I click on continue and instead of going to the next mission the notebook disapears and I stay on the same mission watching the BH hovering with my crew in it. After that I have to ctrl+f4 to shut down OFP. I´m using a MOD folder. I downloaded the exact addons as posted on OFPinfo by King Nothing and comparing to the print screen image of King Nothings addon folder contained in the campaign folder I still have slight KB diference in 5 addons: BAS_O.pbo, BAS_OPFOR.pbo, CBT_BRAD_scripts.pbo, CBT_HMMWV.pbo, HYK_USsol.pbo. Besides this I always get the prompt of "missing HYK soldiers" when I start any of the missions or cutscenes in the campaign. This obviously seems like an addon problem, but since I have almost the exact addons as needed I got lost... Could it be that the slight diference in KB size of the addons be the matter? And how can this happen since I downloaded them from the links provided by the author? Could it be another addon from outside the MOD folder, like editorupgrade or something, or from another MOD in my OFP directory? I dont know whats going on but sure would like to fix it. This is one of the best OFP campaigns I´ve played in 2 years and definetly one of the top 5 campaigns ever made (not counting MODs). Any help would be great, thanks. Shinbusan 0 Posted October 3, 2005 Simple the best OFP campaign ever made I got few bugs, but I wasn't online and now I remember one with my squad mates shooting to me. They shot me every time in the beginning of the mission, the one after retreat from desert village. I could do nothing. At least I just went back to the previous mission, and after completed, there was no buch again. In previous mission (when you have to retreat) I killed one civilian by an accident and lost one man from my team. So probably killed civilian is a problem. I really hope King Nothing will find job in games industry (if he wants it), because this campaing is a proof, that he is really incredibly talented and he has a lot of patience. HELL GOOD JOB!
