Preparation H 0 Posted July 5, 2005 Hi guys... It's been quite a long time since my last release in this forum but finally the day has come. It's since the 1.1B release of the USMC UH-1N that i work on this new project, and now it's time to give something to the public. My new project is the IX° Reggimento Paracadutisti d'Assalto "Col Moschin" (something like IX Regiment Assault Paratroopers "Col Moschin"). The "Col Moschin" pack comes in 0.6 version, since it's far to be completed: i still have to make Covert, Night and Recon versions and some more models for Combat version. Anyway the v0.6 includes five variants of the combat version with three different models: Incursore (Intruder), the standard model, Grenadier, with some pockets on the left leg and on the vest for grenades and Machine Gunner, with four big pockets on the vest for mg ammo boxes. The remaining two variants are sniper and AT, both using Incursore model. I've built the models using BAS Infantry Kit. There are no special actions (such as "Raising goggles) or features at the moment but the units use new sounds for movements. I want to thank Arremba San Zorzo since he gave me the permission to use whatever i needed from his Italian Army units of the PedagneMOD. Another big "thank you" goes to AimPoint who created the new boots model (textures are mine..they're a bit ugly so don't blame him for them ). Let's talk about the Weapons Pack. Every weapon comes in 1.0 version and has new sounds, new optics and for most part of them, new models. In this release there's a complete basic set of weapons: 14 variants of the M4 SOPMOD assault rifle (made with M4-Kit by Inquisitor), 3 variants of the FN Minimi machine gun (i used as base model the M249 made by OFP Gulf War Crisis Mod), 2 variants of the H&K MSG-90 sniper rifle and 1 version of the Instalaza C-90 rocket launcher. There are still many weapons i have to work on anyway: Beretta 92F, Glock 17 as handguns, Sako TRG-22, Sako TRG-42 and Barret M-95 as sniper rifles, Panzerfaust 3 and Gill Spike as anti-tank weapons and Steyr AUG as assault rifle. Preparation H 0 Posted July 6, 2005 Thanks... Guys, klavan found an enormous bug ( ) on the weapons: it's impossible to hear the reloading sound in Minimi, M4 and MSG-90. The problem is simple to solve...you just have to replace the .wav extension with the .wss one, in the reloading sound specified in the config.cpp of the weapons. I made a little mistake...i encoded all wav sounds to wss ad changed config.cpp only in prph_ammomags (that's why you hear the firing sound). I'm sorry for the problem... wipman 1 Posted July 7, 2005 Hi, i've gave a try to those "musso..tjo!tjo!..spag... EJEM!!" ITALIAN, soldiers... and they look damn great, the models look very well (i hate the helmet) and the only "bug" that i've found was that the hands textures goes independent from the forearms textures; and that's very noticeable in the unit with the beret; but a damn great job. Those new boots model may serve to make (with good textures) Dr. Marteens, Rangers, Getta Grip or Commando boots; with permision, some textures, time etc.. etc... we could get a entire International Brigades XXI Century *squad, with only 3 or 4 models. I'm workin' on the Gill Spike AT missile launcher and i'd like to see the missile inside the launch tube before firing...then the tube should be empty after the launch...what i have to do? 2nd: i have a big problem with optics...in night missions i see them darkened and i don't understand why. Some time ago i posted the same question and Agent Smith said i had to make the optics .p3d from scratch 'cause the problem was due to ODOL Explorer, which probably damaged the file i was workin on. I tried to make everything from scratch but still i see darkened optics (even the red dot taken from the xms appears darkened) and it's impossible to aim correctly in night missions! wipman 1 Posted July 7, 2005 Hi, someone told me that the ODOL EX fucks off the selections in the MLOD converted .p3d's & that it fucks 'em off for ever; even God (aka Earl) told me that he don't knew any solution that will not be make the optic .p3d from 0, what i don't know is if the ODOL X fucks too the texture file; but that'll be too much. I downloaded the Crime City Weapons 0.99 inside there'r MLOD optics, i've taken that .p3d to make some custom sights (now only a Glock 17 & a P99) i should try in 'em in game; but if that works... i could re-release before i go, my wip-m1911 (thanx 2 King Homer) with a working muzzle flash. Preparation H 0 Posted July 11, 2005 The Gill Spike AT missile launcher is almost complete. The Gill has "fire and forget" capabilities and fires the Spike MR missile. I plan to make desert units in 1.1 release...I will soon release version 1.0 with complete woodland units then i will work on desert textures for 1.1. I think 1.0 will be released together with Gill Spike, Barrett M82a1 and M95, MP5, Glock 17 and Beretta 92FS and 1.1 with the remaining Panzerfaust 3, Sako TRG 22, Sako TRG 42 and Benelli M4 Super 90. Preparation H 0 Posted September 5, 2005 After two months, here's the 1.0 release of the 9th Regiment. This new and complete version contains 49 variants of the intruders in woodland camo, new weapons (such as Barrett rifles, pistols, Gill Spike and MP5) and new and improved versions of the already released weapons. Concerning the units, i reworked all the models and now each category on which the units are divided (Combat, Recon, Covert (day), Covert (night), Night, Escort) have its own peculiar model. Further, inside each category, soldiers have their own models depending on the role the have.
