DKM Jaguar 0 Posted April 28, 2005 It's an M113 variant used by many countries, including the belgians in their artillery, Taiwan I think also uses them, and I beleive they're bringing a load of these out to Iraq becuase the hummer is not heavily armoured enough. Don't know the name of it though.. Doh hellfish knows better.

sander 14 Posted April 28, 2005 Hi, The FMC AIFV, its variants and derived vehicles are currently in service with the armed forces of: * Belgium * Netherlands * Egypt (former Dutch surplus) * Philippines * Republic of China (Taiwan) * South-Korea * Turkey The vehicle in the picture you have linked is the infantry carrier with the one man turret with 25mm gun and coaxial MG, but there are many variants of the vehicle with different armament and adapted for various roles (e.g. command vehicle, armoured ambulance, mortar tower, tank destroyer, repair and recovery vehicle) Regards, Sander

belgerot 33 Posted April 28, 2005 Great to hear of this! If the UN does in fact use this vehicle then I would be very glad if you were to include a UN (white?) version of it. Here are some links that might help you; http://web.tiscali.it/stefano67/vcc2.htm (has a few interior pictures) http://www.army-technology.com/contractors/armoured/fmc_nurol/ (what appear to be Turkish variants) http://tanxheaven.com/ypr765var/ypr765varpic.htm (NL Variants)
