Your system is probably over heating or you dont have enough RAM or something?

What does the BSOD say ? Sometimes the error is written on it.

1) the side panel is off my pc so it cant be getting that hot

it at 46.5C at the moment nothing un usual there

2) what is BOSD?

3) i got 768mb of RAM

4) it was running fine on my old pc and that was only 800mhz cpu

256mb ram no agp card

whereas this new 1 has a Geforce graphics card in and twice as much ram and cpu power

BSOD = Blue Screen Of Death wink_o.gif

Your temp and specs seem ok , i wonder why OFP hangs up. Which drivers are you running for your card and what card is it btw?

I just tried to do this and it won't let me do it. It says the location doesn't exist. My version is the GOTY edition, not normal flashpoint resistance. Does that make any difference?

1) Probably not the cause of you problem, but wanted to post it here anyway to other people reading this:

Taking panels off of the case is not good. It actually increases the heat on the components, as the airflow is not optimal anymore.

2) You said it yourself in the topictitle: Blue Screen Of Death tounge_o.gif

You must have typed the shortcut wrong, it makes no difference if you have GOTY or Resistance, the executable is the same, you have a working shortcut to Flashpoint on your desktop? So just add -nomap to the end of the target, depending on your OS it may use "" around the location of FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE, so just add -nomap after the closing ", with a space of course smile_o.gif

Also please don't quote images smile_o.gif

It seems there is no solution to the problem other than to uninstall the game and not play it any more. After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing of emails I sent the game to be tested. They reckoned there was nothing wrong with the game.

Oh well.
