cobra@pulse 0 Posted April 14, 2005 Hello all. Right well I have a really annoying problem here: Since today, everytime I load up Flashpoint (GOTY running ECP, have tried without it and all addons) the picture is too big for my monitor, i think beacuse it has some how uped my refresh rate to 70hz. Now everytime I go into options and trya dn change it, it crashes to my desktop. On 1024 x 786 x 32 or whatever it is, which is what it was on bewfore and ran properly, is now to big for my monitor, which is still the same monitor. I need help with this please. Please help. Placebo 29 Posted April 14, 2005 Have you tried opening your Flashpoint.cfg (in the root of Opf) and changing the last line? refresh=;
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted April 14, 2005 dxdll crashes if you try and change res, says in readme changing your refresh rate will change the size of the picture on your screen just resize and position it with the controls on your monitor. @placebo changing refresh to 100 might not be a good idea, if his monitor doesn't support that refresh rate at that resolution it will just make a nasty mess on his screen..mine i think only does 85hz with plug and play drivers but if i install manufacturer drivers i get more refresh rates available on a side note the newest nvidia drivers version 71.84 do nasty things to your games... I'm just going to try it now, I will edit this post if it worked/didnt. EDIT: Got it working, what it was, was that i musnt of uninstalled dxdll properly, and when i did it now works fine, but when trying to edit refresh rate or monitor settings with it installed makes my flashpoint crash to desktop. So all I need to do is move one file into another folder to change the refresh or monitor settings when i need to. There we go, cheers for the help guys.      rabbit, lol, i must of missed that bit in the readme, stupid me.
