Messiah 2 Posted January 11, 2005 Ok... i'm currently creating a static machine gun and have encountered a small problem with the fact that it appears to have a invisible box around it deflecting bullets - strange... now, it may be because i have proxies in some of my non view LOD's, but i've never been sure which ones should have the proxy in it, or shouldn't i currently have: Geo Fire Geo Hit Points with a proxy in... im assuming one of those is casuing the problems Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

BraTTy 0 Posted January 11, 2005 Correct that you want the soldier proxies in the Geometry LOD,however there shouldn't be any in the hitpoints,memory lod or such. You also do want them in your fire-geometry I am not sure what your problem is,asides the settings in config.cpp that enable you to shoot the gunner. You say there is a box around your addon.I have only seen this with errors usually regarding limits: (faces,geometry,size etc) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Messiah 2 Posted January 21, 2005 ok... i think i know whats causing the problem... it was the proxy, but the use of 'find components' - now originally i had done it on the hit, fire and geo lod's - this caused a porblem, i then deleted the selections in the fire and hit and left them in geo (so the muzzle flash doesnt show) and now nothing can hit it... it wont be blown up and the guy wont be shot... weird...
