wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted January 11, 2005 As a fan, I fear the worst. yep and it looks like the worst is going to happen .... although that trailer dont show anything really it doesn't even remotely look or have any kind of hitchhikers feel to it... and i really hope that little japanese toy aint meant to be marvin. i do hope because of it tho they repeat the old tv series. on second thoughts that wos shite aswell as they used the radio actors(was better if you just tuned the picture off and just listened cos then it was just the radio show you got).great theme tune tho think i'll go and dig that out cos i got it on record somewhere was real sorry to hear that douglas adams died cos i dont think i've ever laughed as much at any other books, they litterally do make you LOL
Ares1978 0 Posted January 11, 2005 and i really hope that little japanese toy aint meant to be marvin. Guess what. The Marvin is going to be played by Willow. And I don't mean the one from Buffy. Not his voice, though.
der bastler 0 Posted January 11, 2005 http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhikers/ May 3rd, 2005 -- phase 4 of the radio series will start. bonko the sane 2 Posted January 11, 2005 im really not expecting the movie to be better than the the books, honestly i cant think of a movie which surpassed any book it was based on ( except maybe BladeRunner vs Do androids dream of electric sheep? ) but still i hope it will keep some of the original in it. Billabong81 0 Posted January 11, 2005 Ah I loved these books. The first one was by far the funniest. The guy doesn't want to lose his house and Ford talks the demolition guys into taking a breaking .

Since you mentioned Do androids dream of electric sheep I should mention that one other book of the same author (Philip K. Dick) is being made into a movie, this time its scanner darkly. Daddl 10 Posted January 11, 2005 Well, I guess it'll be better than the TV series anyways. Great books - will they only film the first book or the whole 'triology in five parts'? I can't really see the potential for five films, but maybe for 2.
wheres my rabbit ? 10 Posted January 11, 2005 hmm it will be interesting(if thats the right word for it) to see mos def as ford prefect ....

I truly wonder how well it is going to work in a film format, though it being animation probably helps somewhat, i.e. they do not need to rape the plot that much to satisfy studio bosses. Ex-RoNiN 0 Posted January 11, 2005 If the movie is as bad as the trailer, its going to be a disaster
