csj 0 Posted November 29, 2004 Is it possible to simulate tracer gunfire using drop or some other method? Much appreciate a Yes and How answer
Trenchfeet 0 Posted November 30, 2004 yes it is, but crap i lost myscript i had done a few months back to do this they were only beta but looked ok, i made a small bullet shaped ball (because objects spin using the drop command making it a ball fixes that prob) I suppose thats more the bullet rather then the tracer. I'd like to know the tracer part
SWIFT88 0 Posted November 30, 2004 what you mean? DO you just want a red tracer or some-thing on the gun? Well thats a config prob... if its to do with some-thing else please explain
DanAK47 1 Posted November 30, 2004 You could use the fired eventhandler to trigger a script that creates a tracer every 5th or so shot with createvehicle and sets it at the same position and velocity of the real bullet.
csj 0 Posted November 30, 2004 @Trenchfeet Bullet or tracer - doesnt matter. I would be intereted in seeing your script if you can find it. @DanAK47 and SWIFT88 Not real good at this Earth lingo I am trying to simulate a bullet or tracer. That travels and impacts. Standfree, independent Not just highlight or add to the effect from cfg mgun. Hard to explain but I think Trenchfeet knows what I mean. Thanx all, for reply
SWIFT88 0 Posted November 30, 2004 i might as well get the ball rolling.... Try this in CFG ammo... add that into the ammo you have tracerColor[]={1,0.500000,0.00000,1}; that would give you a tracer plus the model showing while fired could be done in ammo too just by adding this model = "\??\??.p3d"; if that doesnt work... sorry thats the only way i know how to do what your trying to say... DanAK47 1 Posted December 1, 2004 Not sure what you want, but I am guessing you want one that lights up the ground around it like in America's Army. I would just do what I said earlier and attach a "light" vehicle that you would have to make to it as well..
Trenchfeet 0 Posted December 1, 2004 as  i understand it he wants to simulate more gun barrels then just 1. for eg on a spitfire it has 8 so a tracer every 5 from the barrels would be better then 1 from the nose. hehe or is that just me wanting a quick fix to this   edit: spelling etc............. csj 0 Posted December 1, 2004 Quote[/b] ]as i understand it he wants to sinulate more gunbarrels then just 1. Give a prize to the man with the green face and smelly feet I couldn't have said it better myself. Although simulate is more what I had in mind. Come to think of it I might sinulate later on tonight. So whatdoya reckon Trenchfeet, good buddy south of the border. Can you help me out here?
