m3th0dm4n 0 Posted October 7, 2004 I tried using -nosplash -mod=@ECP; llaumax but it seems to give errors and not work correctly. Am I doing this wrong?

Placebo 29 Posted October 7, 2004 Nomap = allway's better? Well from my experience yes (if you want to use any addons it's needed to get the game running), in this instance I added it because m3th0dm4n doesn't specify the errors he is getting so it's possible one of them is "cannot memory map" which of course -nomap fixes @hardrock LOL great pic
vektorboson 8 Posted October 7, 2004 Nomap = allway's better? Â For me it makes the game almost unplayable. Nomap is bad, because file-read operations are much slower; if you got a lot of units with a very high rate of fire, then it can make your OFP laggy.

vektorboson 8 Posted October 8, 2004 vektorboson what are your system specs? Athlon 750, GF2MX, 640MB SDRAM It's not the best one, I know, but everything runs fine, when I don't use -nomap. The slowdowns happen specifically for Machine Guns (as they have a high rate of fire).
