A Great Idea?

The reason i made this post is because all of the Us addons are all scattered out and they all looks very very different, and because i hate having to scroll down a big Addon list and cant find anything because its all different and i like to be organized, lol. Ok, here it goes

wouldnt it be awsome if like the best addonmakers of ofp combined together and made like top quality addons? like the entire US army Arsenal? and when you go to make a mission its like

Woodland - Men

Desert - Men

Woodland - Cars

Desert - Cars

Woodland - Armored

Desert - Armored

Woodland - Air

Desert - Air

yes it would be hard, VERY VERY hard, but wouldnt it be worth it? It might take a couple months (5 months?) and with all the talented addon makers out there it could take even less. But the problem is, how many people would participate? I will participate but im afraid im not very good.

And Also, this is just an idea  

(It doesnt matter what army we would do either, just one without a mod doing it)

Hope we can make this real

I've been part of lots of modding communities and I can say that we the modders are against any kind of massive organization/standardization of our work. Why? Because it would be so much work and fighting over weapon/armor values, and it isn't really worth the effort just so someone doesn't have to use a scroll bar.

im not just talking about not using the scroll bar  

im also talking about a big MOD of any Army with Men, Vehicles, Weapons, and Aircraft.

Sorry if im being an ass about addons again, sorry, i dont kno much about modding

You know, ive never thought of this but, though it sounds cool, and would be cool if you could get it done, i honestly don't believe it'll ever happen. From a player standpoint, all the downloads are out there. All you need is an internet connection, a link, and hard drive space. People who don't have either of those, are the ones who don't get addons. Further accomodation for them would be much too hard on the addon makers, who just want to make addons and thats it. Noone likes going back and revising the configs and more than likely its alot more work than that. BAS is on vacation, all the other ones are working on stuff, it just don't seem possible. If you feel it is and won't give up more power to you though jank my friend.

Roger that... Easyer to just use mod folders, to organize em. Most folks have 2 to 4 gigs of addons on their machines. Asking all addon makers to comply to the request is highly unrealistic. Can learn config work, and handle it yourself, or trime down your addon usage, or mod folders which seem the be the way to go to control the page long subfolders of addons period..
