Sgt_Eversmann 1 Posted August 13, 2004 I think the Muzzle Flash is to bright in flashpoint at daytime. Maybe with a script it's possible to make the muzzle flash bright at night and at daylight less bright.

Baron Hurlothrumbo IIX 0 Posted August 16, 2004 I think the Muzzle Flash is to bright in flashpoint at daytime.Maybe with a script it's possible to make the muzzle flash bright at night and at daylight less bright. 1) It isn't 2) the constraints of the game (and any game) mean that the minimum time something can be displayed is one frame, whereas IRL the time a muzzle flash is seen for is less than that. SFontaine 0 Posted August 17, 2004 I love civvies arguging weapons Yeah muzzle flashes are always overly exagerated in most games and movies. Normally you will see little to no flash when firing, especially in modern weapons. It's normally only very visible at night.

Google for "Land of the thousand lakes" Btw Baron is active-duty British Army and lists hunting and military competitive shooting as his hobbies, so I have no idea who you might be referring to anymore. No, they are NOT invisible when firing, the flash is just over so quickly you don't normally notice it. It is just as bright. If you look for it you will see it. As The Baron said, games have to display things for a minimum of one frame, so it seems brighter than it should because it lasts longer.
Sgt_Eversmann 1 Posted August 21, 2004 Hmmmm...if so then I try to make two versions of the gun I want with smaller muzzle flash. One for the day and one for the night. On one model I simply remove the muzzleflash... have to try this now... muhahahaahahaaaaa
