Is it possible to replace original game models?

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to replace some of the original game models, so that it can be played in the campaign. There are some really beautiful models, and it will be great to have them in the original campaign.

Alright, I'm a little confused here. Y2k3 thread has 100 pages. EECP has 36. Sorry for asking, but both mods replaces in game models, but can you choose the ones you want to replace and what u wanna replace it with? Also, will the models replaced retain the original properties or the properties of the new unit?

if you only replace the model, the properties will be the same.

ok thanks. Which mod should I use? EECP or Y2k3? Which mod are you using? Btw, does EECP have exploding body parts?

in Y2K3 it will keep the orginal soldier properties, EECP changes them.

and neither mod is customized per user. first off thats not possible as theres hundreds of differnt users with differnt needs.

but my mod/ website ofers a tutorial on how to change it to what you want.

in a few days Y2K3 Version 6.0 will be released and will be final. until then downloads for my mod have been removed

and no EECP doesnt have exploding body parts. only Y2K3.

I love the exploding body part thingy. ONe of your screenshots says that Y2k3 has a little realism tweak. I don't mind realism tweak really, as long as they are realistic, or if they aren't, then close to the original game values.

But I also love the scripting for the units in the EECP mod. So...

i have 90% of the ECP scripts in Y2K3 the only thing i dont have is the tank shockdust, it seems to elude my evry effort. but even when it was first invented it was said to be unrelistic as the shock dust happens only 5% of the time

but yea Y2K3 has the at backblast and bleeding/first aid stuff all the ECP effects  smile_o.gif  i strived hard to get them back in.

if your obsessed with realism down to the very last detail then you want EECP.

but if you want realisum combined with equal gaming playibility (untweaked health, armor, weapon values ect to maintain orginal gameing playibility) then you want Y2K3. "Realisum For The Gamer" smile_o.gif

Edit: Y2K3 will in a few days be final with no more updates no more tweaks, just finished product til OFP2.

EECP is still in beta phase and will be updated for many moons to come. so keep that in mind too when choosing  smile_o.gif

Edit 2: Y2K3 puts the utmost care into troubleshooting problems asap. and im availble via messenger most of the day to help out too if you cant wait for an answer in the thread (but use that as a last resort)

Btw, about sounds, are you using Dynamic Range? Or The original sounds? Or custom sounds?

Edit: Does Y2k3 change any animation? I wanna use the new animations. Is it compatible?

dynamic range sounds, INQ weapons the best of the best my freind.

and Y2K3 will come with dreamyknights animations but the pistol animations (that are in o.pbo) will still need to be manualy installed (either by downloading the addon or by depbo/repbo)

so yes they are compatible AND recomended smile_o.gif you will like the final Y2K3. and its only a few days away i assure yu. approx 72 hours. (enough time to upload and test the installer)

Pappy Boyington how to get exploding bodies in EECP ? tounge_o.gif

because i like more EECP for my personnal mission and Y2K3 for campaign

but until bis responde me i cant do missions

i have thinked that eecp or y2k3 freeze my computer in the editor but i have tried witout any addons and it do it

yesterday i have closed down all programs and turn the game in english (for csla2) and the game appear to be right but i hope it will continue

but why bis support don't responde ? i have send the mail 2 days ago with flashpoint.rpt, context.bin and dxdiag.txt

no the pistol animations are in O.pbo which is 177 megs. and the needed addons totals 650MB (so the installer will be around 300) so i dont have room to be adding that, but the download page will link to my uploaded file of the animations for easy download and installation.

@ride on top troops: no since the only tank avilable (that i used) that do this is the T55 (from rhs) and it would be stupid to have one out of 3 sides be able to ride on top, and secondly its rare that you would see them do that in a combat zone, in a safe zone, or crusin thru cities mabe, but never in combat (unless your retarded and suicidal all at once tounge_o.gif )

@ tank vs helo, tanks engage helos with thier machine gun all the time, but never with thier main gun, and again irl they wouldnt use their main gun against a helo (unless its Rambo III)

and yes Y2K3 will include all needed addons including a special breed of INQ's weapon pack in paa/pac textures including an M16-M203 to complete the asset. as well as all other addons required for Y2K3.

there will be 2 installers by the way (i cut the BAS one and just put the needed BAS addons into the Y2K3 installer)

yea. with ONLY GMR or ONLY ECP

my comment about it only being there 5% of the time was refering to real life. that in real life that shock dust is rarely seen.

yes i know. i tried to get it back, but after 3 and ha lf months fightin with AT back blast im not pushin my luck any further then it has to go. i got enough of the effects back to make it worth while wink_o.gif plus the added exploding bodies, and the CD players for the civi cars and west humvee make up for it tounge_o.gif

u cant see dust when u fire a 120mm sabo round but you can listen to rob zombie- dragula as u cruz offroad doin 50mph drivin into combat tounge_o.gif

What about Helicopter scripts? The tail rotor damage with the heli spinning around script? Or the script where dust flies about when the copter lands?

Oh, and about the enxt version, will it feature a full download? Will it have an update only download? I'm thinking of getting the current version now. smile_o.gif

yea i deleted the addons page in preperation for the final. the new hummers are out im about to test and prepare the final installer now for testing. within 48 hours there will be a final posted.
