ViperCheese 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Ottawa awards $3.2B chopper contract to Sikorsky Ottawa has awarded a $3.2-billion contract to replace the aging Sea Kings helicopters to U.S.-based Sikorsky. Announcing the contract the newly-named defence minister, Bill Graham, called the model a "world-class helicopter that is at the forefront of modern technology and will serve our needs for years to come." A military version of the Sikorsky S-92 will be delivered and will be called the H-92 Cyclone. The first chopper is expected to be delivered in 2008, the final one by early 2011 http://sympaticomsn.ctv.ca/servlet....stories Still another 4 years though, but finally. DracoPaladore 0 Posted July 23, 2004 I think we just recently put our labradors down, and it'll be great to save money on those retarded Sea Kings. They were great fifty years ago, but now they just fall apart.
