Unexplianable Invincibility during MP

Hello. I've done  search of this forum, and it did not show any posts like this, but incase there were, I'm sorry for duplicating them.

My problem:

If anyone can explain what may cause the folowing, I will be very happy.

I play Mulitplayer reguarly and recently joined  a new squad. I had a played a few games in which I died, then all of a sudden in one mission I was unable to be killed, and every mission since then has been the same, when I have been hit. I have taken AK bullets to the head from very close range repeatedly, been shot in the stomach by a T55 and have flown several hundred meters from an explosion and lived after hitting the ground. I can not die.

I am not a cheater, and I have not done ANYTHING to my knowledge that would create this situation. I am very anxious to sort this out as my squadmates are very suspicious (and I would be too, it does look VERY suspect) and I feel that I will not be able to continue with the squad unless I can solve the problem AND prove it was not my doing to make me invincible.

Note: I am on a 56K and lag could play a small part, but not taking a shell to the head kind of thing. The squad uses various addon islands, and play as the DPM pack by UKF. (incase there are any known issues with these addons and MP)

Any help on this woul be great.

VCB tested our our DPM pack for a good month or so before release on their MP server. They reported no such bug to us.

Just realised you've joined them well, none of your team mates had the same problem, so we know of no such bug to date.

I didn't think it was that... I am just trying to cover all possibilities.. and it's not looking good.

I think the best bet is to try and remeber what the mission it started with was, then try and remove anything downloaded for that mission.

yeah, always good to rule out everything to find the source of them problem. I can't recall any addon causing invincibility in ofp - and since they removed the allowdammage command it seems more like and engine bug than anything else... do blood textures still appear?

Could it be ECP? was your ping ok? was there much desync?

Did it happen again? Were you playing a very complex mission? with many units? How many players? Are there any more players in the squad with 56k? The tank who shot you was it a one manned tank or did it have more players inside?

I tend to believe it was problably a lag issue, sry .

My ping would have been around 300ms

Dunno anything about desync

It happens repeatedly.

It was a complex mission.

It did have quite a few units.

about 10 players, none with 56Ks themselves

The tank was AI.

I don't think it can be Lag. I stood infront of an AI soldier after all other players were dead and took over 30 shots to the head, from mulitple shooters., on the same mission I took 3 shots in the back and the T55 shot. Lag can not be THAT bad.

Im afraid it can but normally you would feel these efects too like "jumpy" gameplay and warping stuff. Does it happen with a specific mission or with more than one? maybe you should try simple missions to see if it works better or not, complex mission+10 other players+a.i. running around can be a little too much for your con. to handle. I take it you have a clean comp protected from spyware and other stuff right? Or maybe see if it happens on other servers too
