FerretFangs 0 Posted July 8, 2004 I'm sure they are all badass's. They are, after all, Navy SEALs. Security wise, it's not that big a deal. That's an old pic, and terrorist can only do so much with a picture. Names, are much more serious.
Rishon 0 Posted July 8, 2004 It's cool how SEALs and Green Berets don't need to cut their hair anymore. Another sign of how Command doesn't care what they do , becasue they know what they are doing.

I don't think it's "not care" but rather "complete the mission using all nessesary means"
FerretFangs 0 Posted July 8, 2004 Yep. Doing what must done, to ensure mission success. Blending into their surroundings and with their host nation's fighters, is tantemount to operational effectiveness.
Drill Sergeant 0 Posted July 8, 2004 what ever actually happened to the SEALs BAS was working on?http://ofp.gamezone.cz/news/pics/dpv1.jpg http://ofp.gamezone.cz/news/pics/dpv2.jpg Did the guy who was working on them computer crash and all data was lost or something..the reason I'm asking is if the actual models are still intact they could help the guy who is gonna pick up the torch and carry on with the project.... its still beeing siscussed what to be done whit. Dont expect miracles or to quote a C&C game "time will tell, sooner or later, time will tell" Seems BAS and I were working on SEALS at the same time. A mate of mine who's doing ADf units needed some new ammo pouches so thats an excuse for me to update my models. @ Sniper Skull is CBT doing anything on SEALS? You know something I don't? (I hate lack of comunication.) @ ExtracTioN need any help with the SEAL models? Also I think that something called "Operator/Mission preferance" has allot to do with what ANY operator wears. But as some one said before, SEALS are long over do so no mater what they wear, they'll be ok.

MilitiaSniper 0 Posted July 8, 2004 "Navy Seals?" Is this what the, OFP Community wants? For me, I honestly have to say, "I did." But when BAS decided to stop. I really don't know now. But I will say this. We have so many different S.F. units from different countries. That "I..." don't know what to do with. I would like to see a, "New Sunrise." A new break in OFP imagination. Something that relights the fire that we all once had. For me, It seems that the imagination is running out. But when I see addons like, "Tales of War's: CH-34 Choctaw" released. It recaptures my OFP imagination. I'm sick of seeing addons being released. Example: (New AK-74 SU, M4, or new BMP" We have these already. Yes some are better than others. But why not just retexture the ones we have? So our addon folders aren't filling up with .pbo's we really already have. We are all subject to this in the OFP Community... That we expect to much demand on quality and the makers that make the addons. It seems that we forget sometimes that the makers do this with passion... for us. In "THEIR" spare time. Then we complain to much about an addon that has a bug in it. Or it doesn't look as good as someone's elses. But, "I" want to thank ALL addon makers in the OFP Community. Vets or Newbie's. "Thank You!" I hope I opened some eyes. And I'm not trying to be, "Holier than Thou." Sincerely, MilitiaSniper
FerretFangs 0 Posted July 8, 2004 I like the way things are progressing right now. OFP has never looked so good, been so realistic, or been so much fun as it is today.

BoweryBaker 0 Posted July 8, 2004 SEALs sounds like one hell of a sunrise to me. It's definitely going to rise this son up in the morning and shoot some terrorists. I got some seals info guys, read this: SEALs; The US Navy SEALs are America's premier naval special operations force. SEAL is an acronym for SEa, Air, and Land and highlights the arenas that SEALs can operate in. Whether the US military needs enemy ships destroyed in a fortified harbour or enemy beach defences softened up, the SEALs stand ready to serve with their unique abilities. SEALs can swim or parachute into their area of operations and are proficient at not only underwater ops and demolition but also reconnaissance and small-unit tactics. the U.S. Navy SEALs are adept in conducting combat missions in different environments: sea, air, and land. Their ability to operate effectively in small numbers, in and out of the water in a clandestine fashion sets Navy SEALs apart from other special operation forces. Within the Naval Special Warfare Command is a SEAL team that is task to conduct special counter-terrorist missions. This covert unit, called SEAL Team Six or DevGroup, is comparable to the Army's Delta Force.

As Part of SOCOM, They have the standard Regulations and Equipment. This includes the relatively new SOPMOD M4A1, Experimental Equpment, (Seals and Green Berets have XM-8's, and Interceptor 2's) and they are allowed to wear equipment Conventional Units don't I.E Boonie Hats, Beanies, other stuff. I suggest you ask Jackal if you can use his M4A1 TOS Weapons. They are top of the line.
