Ninja_STO 0 Posted June 28, 2004 Well, by the looks of it the majority rules that the pc I mentioned is a waste of money. And instead of asking what other systems are better, I'll just recommend this topic be closed. I am sure there are numerous other topics about what computers to buy or build, so I'll start searching there for suggestions and start thumbing through my Tiger Direct. I'll also check on those everyone has mentioned here already. I really do appreciate the advice, and yes I do know how to build my own system. Just thought that one had some nice "extras" and wasn't sure if it was all hype or actually something useful. But from the sounds of everyone's comments, they are not as good as I had the impression they were.

Frisbee 0 Posted June 28, 2004 They were tested at a hardware/OC'ing site, IIRC, the fancy PuRam thingie couldn't be delivered, and you were just stuck with a fancy overclocked pc at much more than the cost to do it yourself. Get yourself dual phase change if you want to splurge that kind of money (and power), overclock your cpu and gpu, and be at the level of the people who buy new components just to hold the 3dmark benching record.
